As the home club keep all the receipts, they can make their own decisions on admission prices and Dale will have to put some real imagination into this if they want people to turn up.
Season ticket holders for a fiver at most, general admission £6 (if that’s allowed to charge more).

According to the Oldham fans site, a number of teams opted out of the competition including York, Southend, Solihull and Hartlepool according to their site. Oldhams fans think it is a distraction to their promotion hopes. | | | |

The NL teams are playing the PL2 teams at home, so each NL team has four games, all at home, and each PL2 team has four games, all away.
We aren’t playing the other NL teams.

He did. He said he wasn't sure about the merits of this competition, which was "offered" to the National League as an alternative to lucrative cup replays. It may well work for some of the more recently promoted teams the National League as a bit of a novelty. But we all saw the mess of the Papa Johns thing when we were a league team. It won't be well attended. And Hartlepool have opted out despite the opportunity to host Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough - says it all really | | | |

Agreed
There has to be some distinction imo between promotion/relegation within the EFL and entry to/exit from the EFL otherwise might as well just call the NL League Three and forget about other entry requirements such as ground capacity
Needs to be thought through by all clubs, not just Dale, but there's not much wrong with existing arrangements

Lets hope we dont hear any moaning about fixture congestion, player burn out and the like later on in the season. And the possibility of a player getting a long term or season ending injury in one of these games doesnt bear thinking of.
