Seems Joe Allen has signed on for another year.

Don't think that is a bad thing as his limiting injury seemed to be rectified with the operation, we do need to keep a balance between experience and youth to offer his experience to our youngsters and our coach as both seem to need it. You can include a number of players who haven't quite adjusted to playing at a higher level.

Love Joey to bits, but enough is enough. Be interesting to see how many mins he played out of the 4000+ this season, also what his wages are going to be.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Happy enough with Joey for another year as long as its a suitable contract in relation to his playing time unless he takes a part time coaching role. He has a lot of knowledge, experience and leadership to give.

The games we were getting an hour out of him were the games we noticeably dropped off after an hour. Before that, when he was coming on for the last half hour, people were asking ‘why don’t we play like that in the first half’

Could be a disaster if he’s constantly unavailable, but if we can get an hour out of him most games, it’s well worth it.

I think in this case you have to look at what he brings as a whole not just playing time. Yes, tpthe number of games he plays has some importance but also his experience, knowledge and overall contribution to the intangibles must be considered. As long as the wage fits then I happy he’s going to be here.

Without knowing the contract terms it's unfair to comment. He brings a lot to the team and and club when fit, it just depends on the terms.

Agree at the right price. As for his game time in the midfield he will have to learn to let younger players than him reduce his work load as he teaches.

If he was on a rumoured £20k a week, even if he accepted half that, £10k is a considerable slice of wages that should go on a up and coming younger player. His injury record is hardly going to improve with age. Time to cut the cord.

Half his "wages" were his signing on fee spread over the length of his contract.

Even a modest £3k a week ifor Joey is more than enough. Even that is a whopping £150,000 pa. He remember is already worth £30m- £50m or so.

I believe Swansea must utilise the presence of the English FA goal keeper coach to its advantage to attract a permanent goalkeeper signing. Broome has barely featured. Margetson is not at Swansea to develop Brighton's goalkeepers. Loans are bad business.

Without the goalkeeping loan this season we would have been right in the cack and that is a fact not an opinion.

Viljami Sinisalo on loan from Villa at Exeter is worth a look.

Or an outside possibility might be a senior pro in an EPL reserve side, providing that such a person would trade a high wage for lifestyle and a couple of years of first team football.

Joey

7 seasons on £3m = £21m

4 seasons on £1m = £4m

2-3 seasons.develop = £1m

£26m cash over 12-13 years. Investments.

Houses invest ment trusts etc 100% return over a decade

£52m dioloch yn fawr.

Joe should say " I do not care about the wage Mr Coleman whatever you can spare'.

Ramsey screwing Cardiff is pretty disgusting to me.

Maybe we shouldn't have taken Gyokeres on loan then?

Gyorkeres was " up for grabs" . He was sadly grabbed by Mark Robbins not Steve Cooper.

Robbins is a manager for the long term and was working in the interest of Coventry City.

Rushworth is probably not going to be available. Wrexham keeper is out of contact at Arsenal and they have a reasonable chance of nabbing him.

maybe it will depend which agencies we are using for recruitment in terms of how we do business this Summer?

My mate who is a Stoke season ticket holder reckons we are interested in Tyreese Campbell who is set to leave them at the end of his contract.
