QPR Women on 17:20 - Mar 26 with 2369 views | TacticalR | Just back. Harum-scarum football. Not because it's women's football, but because it's youth football. We were trying to play long ball football, and you can only do that if you've got a hold-up player, which we didn't have. Wimbledon were undoubtedly better than us, but not by miles. Slightly faster, slightly more skillful, slightly better choices on the ball. At one point in the first half we were 0-3 down and it looked like we were going to get thrashed, but we edged our way back into the game. If I was the manager I would spend all my energy on improving technique. If you do that the women will have more time on the ball and make better choices. At this level there isn't a huge difference between the players (no outstandingly skillful players), so technique and organisation is everything.

Still bloody throw that lead away in Bend It Like Beckham though don't we. Great news, I think integrating all sections of the club more can only be a good thing. Am I right in thinking this set of QPR Women were a new set up, from a previous QPR Women who a few years ago broke away and became their own club under a new name due to lack of support? Hopefully lessons were learned so that doesn't happen again. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
QPR Women on 17:49 - Jun 7 with 816 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | About time. Ridiculous that they were not part of the club proper. The club have ignored a huge demographic that would pay to watch and buy QPR womens merchandise for to long. We have a brain running the club!
