They brought in Ben Mee on a free transfer. He's 33 (not one of our stupid one for the future signings) but excellent and experienced. Toni didn't play today but they have goal scorers. Erikson has gone now but a signing he was too for peanuts. We spend 60 million on a load of "possible" potential. What a waste of money when you can just get a Ben Mee or an Erikkson for free. Saints stick to a rigid under 21 only and it will send us down.

In truth, this reminds me of how irritated I was when Leicester won the League and it wasn’t us.

Given our League position, this is a far bigger factor in my mind than being pleased about the Scousers losing.
