I'll do a bit of research when I get home from Swindon, but we haven't had a scheduled Boxing Day home game v Halifax in my 40 years of watching, so I think he's getting his wires crossed.
Edit: I'm thinking it could be Preston in 1995. We had bury at home three days later, which would explain the large number of pies. Leave it with me.
