Apart from the obvious draw..... I'll opt for a Wombles win......we've played Wigan twice and have still got the Wombles to play.....i.e. a chance to take point/s off them......Wigan have got x1 game in hand on us (this game) / Wombles have got x2 games in hand on us (this game and v Dale a week on Tues AWAY;) .......!!??

Wimbledon v Dale can't be 1 of Wimbledon's games in hand on us because we play that night too 🤣
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
The league of 7 seems to be 6 now and we sit 5th. With 3 points separating top and bottom it's still all to play for. Amazingly. Wimbledon still have that game in hand.

Because our toughest 3 remaining games seem to be the next 3 I feel we need to have another Lincoln performance & nick a win against one of these. If not then we could have a 6 or 7 point gap to safety which psychologically is tough even if we have one of the better run ins to the end of the season. Ipswich at home would be the obvious one although Portsmouth are a bit hit and miss at times. I think Posh at home on Saturday is difficult but we need a home performance at some stage

The performance against Peterborough is just as important as the result. We know that the odds of survival are stacked against us. Confidence created after the Lincoln game will subside quickly if we don't show grit and determination in the game against the Posh. We need to attack and show we are looking for 3 points rather than try to protect one. Regardless of the result, the fans will back the team if they show that. So Dale and BBM, are you up for it?

Also worth noting that Lincoln got hammered at home so are clearly in a slump...might expect a tougher game v Posh than we got from Imps.

Indeed. It's always been the case of having to take care of our own business. We have done that too infrequently this year but have seen what happens when we do. It's not rocket science. There are also enough days for the team to recover from St. Patrick's day celebrations too .....

Maybe a Zoom St Paddy's day celebration is just what's needed to galvanise team morale after Saturday's victory

Totally agree. The big difference against Lincoln was tempo. You can have all the formations and team selections in the world but if you play at half pace and in your own half then you just make it comfortable for the opposition. Couple that with conceding early goals and we will never break down well drilled defences without pace. Yes we will make far more mistakes in possession but so will they and where it matters, in their half. I have no idea why Bazunu takes such an age to get the ball in play. It can,t be to pick his spot because he invariably does,nt. It just allows their defence to get in position. If he carries on as he does inviting forwards on, then sooner or later he is going to cost us, before the end of the season a la Sanchez at Newcastle. Lets have an in your face, at pace performance on Saturday and at least if we come a cropper we can say we went down fighting in the attempt rather than inviting teams to come at us. Peterborough will be under pressure, albeit of a totally different kind, so lets try and create some more for them, from the off. I am actually more concerned when we play in 6 pointers, when the oppositions first priority is not to lose which I doubt will be the case with Peterborough. Up the Dale
