I always think the first win of the season is the most important win of the season.
The last two seasons saw us not picking up a win until the middle of September, and there's no doubting that it became a monkey on our back - winless Rochdale etc and it created unnecessary pressure on us that is detrimental to the way we want to play.
Now, we're up and running, points in the bag and the feelgood factor from the back end of last season carries on. Next game can't come quick enough now. |  | | |

Fantastic start to the season. As I don't see any games I don't know if I'm imagining this but has KH adopted a different philosophy, particularly with away games, since the start of this calendar year. Specifically defensive solidarity seems to be the absolute priority. He made mention of Shrewsbury in his pre season interview as an example of a well performing team with limited resources and they seemed to have based a lot of their games last year on a mean defense. I wonder if he's been tempted to take the same approach. | | | |

In Fairness to KH he actually got the away form philosophy going after Christmas last year and ultimately that kept us up. Our home form was generally poor last year ( bar the last game!!) and that will be the big test again this year. Hopefully he will not focus so much on not losing, but on winning games, starting with a really tough one on Saturday. Going to be a really good test of where we are early doors |  | | |
