How anyone rates that ref anything higher than a 1 is beyond me, made bizarre decisions throughout and at times was just making things up.

We were unlucky, lacking that bit of quality in front of goal once again.

However it's a marked improvement on where things were last season and indeed from the Watford game so hopefully things will start to go our way soon.

I agree with Deano on calling the ref out. Yellow cards for nothing challenges and but nothing for blatant serious lunges. It’s almost that the poorer quality of referees at this level would benefit more from VAR than in the PL.

On the match QPR clearly came for a nil nil and we struggled to break them down at times. Only when the ball was moved with a bit of pace and purpose did we unlock their defence and it resulted in the two goals. I thought Sam Ano Ameyaw looks a little bit overawed from starting. There was some nice bits but his decision making let him down. Bear in mind he is only 17 then his time will come but he is better as an option off the bench. Ryan Fraser looks like he has a point to prove and we needed to get the ball to him more after he game on. Great finish fro AA for the winner - he looks like a striker with confidence now and every bit the player we hoped we had bought from Blackburn. Hope Stephens injury is not too bad but he seemed really upset as soon as he sat on the pitch so I think he thinks it’s bad.

Not perfect but 10 points from 12 while still evolving is a decent return.

Forgot to add - how can Charley Alcaraz get himself booked for arguing with the ref when the ref had given US the free kick! Most bizarre.

I thought that there was a nevousness in the crowd today Possibly because it was a match we were expected to win after recent results This was transmitted to the players in the first half
Negatives first Alcaraz didn't appear to be 100% fit or committed and the JS injury too a class mid field player out of position to play CB Why not bring on ABK
Otherwise everything was positive The newbies did exactly what it said on the tin. I don't thinkDownes lost or gave the ball away all afternoon and the difference that Frazer made was unbelievable (and I wasn't happy at signing him)
Overall it was an entertaing business like performance that deserved the three points

Another useful 3 points while the team is still not the finished article. Thought Bazunu repaid some if the faith shown in him today with a couple of point blank stops. Agree Sam AA looked his age today but Edozie was on fire.

Fraser and Downes both looked great and Charles easily handled his switch of positions.

I like the possession play late in the game. Allows us to control the clock. QPR stood off us, when teams start pressing us mistakes could start to happen. Oh well deal with that when it happens.

Not at our best. Things felt a bit flat at the start with Tella going and Adams looking on his way out too. I thought we deserved to win though although came close to only drawing with a few head in hands moments. Alcatraz didn'took at the races at all and not sure he was fit enough to play. Gave the ball away badly again. Armstrong did well and took his goal well. Fraser was excellent from the bench. A good three points in the end.

Thought we played well, Paal had a good game at left wing back and Kakay also impressed with his never say die attitude. Teams seems to have a real game plan now and deserved a point from the game but need to start taking their chances, missed some good ones today and Armstrong very dopey to be caught offside for the disallowed goal

Baz stepped up a level and was my MOTM, with Arma a close second.

Shea, Flynn and Fraser on this performance are great signings.

Lucky to win this one but getting results as we go.

Momentum is everything and moving into the last bit of the window our 10 points adds to the attraction of us for incoming options.

QPR definitely are not the no hopers that many have been saying.

After the Norwich game I was prepared for a long frustrating season of mediocrity. Still a long way to go but happy my genuine fears have not been realised.

Particularly happy for Adam Armstrong - he's had a tough few years but he's kept plugging away and is coming good again.

Hope Stephens is ok and would love to see him playing in midfield if ousted from defence with the new signings but either way he's a wonderful character and a very good ball player.
