Saints Tracking Bundesliga Winger Saturday, 29th Jul 2017 10:28 by Nick Illingsworth Saints are considering a bid for Borussia Dortmund winger Emre Mor according to some reports in Germany. Nick Illingsworth takes a look at the latest to be linked to a move to St Mary's Mor who only turned 20 earlier this week was born in Denmark of Turkish parents and started his career there and played for the Danish youth teams up to U19 level before transferring his allegiance to Turkey, his Father having to sign the papers for his citizenship from a prison cell, Mor has since been a regular in the full International side earning 12 caps. He joined Dortmund on a 5 year contract in June 2016 from FC Nordsjælland in Denmark. Last season he made 12 appearances in the Bundesliga mainly from the bench, Dortmund rate Mor highly but with the strength of their squad they are aware that he is still raw and a regular first team place is still a little way off. That being the case they are open to loaning him out to gain experience and this is where Saints are being linked, they have a reputation on the Continent for deveoping youngsters and indeed slightly older players and bringing the best out of them and are the type of club that Dortmund would like to see Mor go to. The only issue for Saints is that they have a plethora of wide players in the squad with Sofiane Boufal, Dusan Tadic, Nathan Redmond and Saints own 20 year old starlet Josh Sims already in the squad. How much game time would Mor get and would it halt the progress of Sims if Mor was to come for a year, therefore perhaps Saints might be interested in buying Mor, but maybe not a loan deal.
