Cav sending off appealed Monday, 12th Aug 2013 13:18 by Col Dale have confirmed that they are submitting an appeal against Peter Cavanagh's sending off on Saturday. Cavanagh was sent off after just seven minutes for what was deemed to be violent conduct on Burton's Robbie Weir. Replays showed that Cavanagh had made conduct with the midfielder with a high challenge but it looked to be without intent. Such a sending off carries an automatic three match ban, which would rule the club captain out until the Bury game at the start of September. However, the club have confirmed that they are submitting an appeal against the suspension. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
