managing a football club is not a popularity contest; otherwise Neil would probably never have got a job.
but to have managed so many tinpot clubs and achieved promotions or staved off relegations (in our case, both, in consecutive seasons) over the course of decades in the game, means he will leave a legacy as a top class manager.
abrasive, dodgy, rude, self centred........ applies to many of the most successful managers.
i have nothing but fond memories of Warnock's time in charge of us; that period gives me loads of stand out memories that i'll cherish for ever.
anyone who could harness the mental that was Taraabt and convince a team including Sean Derry and Clint Hill to support that lunatic, rather than throttle him after training has something special about him. Let's never underestimate what he achieved for us.
Then thrown under the bus by the F1 crowd when he needed some support to strengthen the squad.
this pub is along the Uxbridge Road towards Acton; very good food and nice home crowd vibe; try and book a table if you think it's not too far from the ground/tube
A couple of suggestions for your good self the lovely Mrs Disco in waiting......
having also had 2 goes at the gig i've a few tunes to offer.
1990 and I was loved up with the 1st Mrs........ this was the tune of that day
move forwards 10 years and second bash at it had a little more thought and structure....
walked up the aisle to this little ditty......
first dance was this.....
whilst we had the overcooked and overpriced chicken dinner, i had the DJ play a couple of albums to keep it easy. One was Mastercuts 80's Love Anthems.... the first 2 are absolute killers for me..
this piece of utter beauty, and the slightly more obvious....
whatever you do choose will be perfect as you'll overthink it for days to come up with a selection worthy of Jo. All the best mate and I wish you guys the very best of luck for the future,
that is possibly one of the daftest things stated on here; which takes some doing.
if we had won the title in 76 that would have gone down as 1 of the greatest club achievements ever; nobody apart from us cares that we finished second as the great entertainers.
at any point in our history I'd have taken a cup of any sort, by any means necessary.
discussing this with mates today and pointed out that last year we stayed up by basically beating the teams we didn't need to beat and losing to the teams we did need to beat.
the 6 pointers in this division are vital and we'll make our job a lot easier with wins like last night
great to see that the players have bonded and feeling good, gotta be a good thing
i think he gets too much of a hard time from the fans. has been consistently consistent throughout his tenure under various managers; despite obviously knowing the club were looking for a replacement.
sometimes a regular player that hits 6/10 to 7/10 most games is exactly what teams like ours need and are probably lucky to have
An honest player, and appears to be a decent and honest human being.
Also seems to truly relish what we'd all love to do; being a professional footballer. That is one of the first things i look for in players and has developed his game to become an effective, if not conventional, right back.
brilliant effort to play this week in such difficult and emotional times. Sincere condolences to him and his family.
