The usual thing with QPR players, if he had his head screwed on properly he wouldn't be at QPR, he'd have played top flight football and probably Champions League for many years. But then if he wasn't a bit mad, would he have been the same player? |

Poor old Jimmy still has PTSD from that in the Bournemouth cup game! |

Yes I mentioned this on another thread. And good point about Edwards with Field missing; Morrison can come in to start with Cook, surely? And it's not the first time Chair coming back into a winning team has upset the apple cart - see a few seasons back when he returned from AFCON... |

Exactly I think we tend to be even worse after an international break - undercooked and unfocused. And given the three games after Leeds are against teams currently below us... |

I admire the manager's footballing principles but I'm not sure they tally with what is required to be a successful Championship side. I appreciate he has done an amazing job given the squad at his disposal, especially the lack of strikers, but every time he feels he can move away from the pragmatic approach which gets us results (and in his mind probably not the shexy football he wants to play), our results tend to fall off a cliff. And it doesn't seem that the penny has dropped with him. Of course he might get fed up with that too and if a better offer comes along to go to a club with better players more attuned to his style, he'll probably be off. |

To be fair, that's not really his job! He might be asking that question of our "attackers". |

I hate to say it but I don't think it's a huge coincidence that our downturn has coincided with Chair coming back into the team (and I appreciate that he is not the only factor). I think he's a very good player and has done great things for us in the past, but since coming back from injury he's not been at his best, and if anything he slows down the way we play. I'm sorry he had to go off injured last night but if he misses out on Saturday then I think that will help us. Last night was not easy with both Field and Varane missing but we do need to make ourselves harder to beat. I know the manager wants us to be more attacking but in the end it just leaves us more open - we need to go back to the pragmatic approach which did so well for us a few months ago. This is the Championship, you need to earn the right to play through running, tackling and being physical. My worry is the manager hasn't fully realised this, and in any case we don't have all the right personnel to play how he wants. I think that Madsen theoretically should have been a big part of that but clearly that has not worked out. So far... He can shuffle the deck again for Saturday (if Varane is fit, pair him with Colback and put Morgan further forward in place of Chair; I'd start Smyth as well instead of Yang; if Morrison is fit to play, he's our player, start him). But what do I know - Leeds will probably reverse the 4-0 from last season. |

Hahaha what other elements are they adding to the script? Is the captain Iranian and the ship's doctor North Korean? |

Meanwhile Manure announce a new mega expensive stadium, just after Comrade Nev's interview with Ratcliffe yesterday where he tries to defend all his cost cutting. I swear everything these days is a wind up at the expense of the general public. |

Mainstream media innit of course it's suss. |

Meanwhile has the Leeds annual choke started again? I think it's more of a minor wobble; Millwall will give them a game on Wednesday night but we'll probably lie down for them on Saturday. Anyway would be very funny if it happened all over again! |
