Dunne has had some lows as well as highs, but over time has become a rock that everyone relies on. I wouldn't begrudge him going either, but it would be a shame if it all ends with a whimper rather than a bang.
I really hope Cifuentes is not going. His arrival is the only good thing to have come out of getting rid of Warburton (after the disasters of Beale, Critchley and Ainsworth). If Cifuentes could have one stable season without firefighting we might be able to assess how good he really is. |

Some of our problems (like injuries) are objective. However, there's definitely a mentality thing...we play better when there's nothing at stake.
Swansea are a bit of a bogey side for us, so getting something out of the game would be good. |

It's taken us a lot of ups and downs to reach mid-table. Preston just sit there. Looking through the results Preston haven't had any outstanding results against the top sides, so it doesn't look like there will be much to remember from this season. |

Missed this one, so I have only seen the highlights, and from the highlights the Oxford keeper looked a real mess. At least there was a bit of class from us for the third goal.

There are some similarities with QPR, with big parts of the team not working.
The great debate about Willock was whether his form fell away because he was saving himself for his next move (which turned out to be to Cardiff). I was of the opinion that he never recovered from the injury he got at Nottingham Forest, and would never be the same player. |

Despite the recruitment problems, the lack of creative players (Saito was especially missed), the lack of forwards, and the number of small players we have, special mention has to be made about the horrible weakness on the left side of our defence (Andersen and Paal). Andersen looked completely out of it, and as mentioned on the recent LFW podcast, this looks like worst decline in form since Johansen. Stoke realised they could have a field day down that side and that got them going. QPR meanwhile are just going through the motions. |

At the moment it feels like we can't get out of second gear, so it doesn't matter if we are playing against ten men. If it wasn't for that home win against Derby we would be at the bottom of the form table. I agree with WestonSuperR that we need a win from somewhere, but it looks unlikely to be against Leeds, even if they've had a bit of a wobble in recent weeks. |

It seems to a bit surreal to be talking about getting rid of a manager who will probably get Leeds promoted, but the current situation of the three promoted teams getting immediately relegated from the Premier League (plus Farke's previous failings in the Premier League) makes this inevitable.
Interesting that the fans consider that the team has a better balance this season even though the star players were sold. |

Our wingers looked weak. On our right, Yang gave away the ball which led to the first Middlesbrough goal. On the left Dijksteel easily outpaced Saito, and Saito kept giving away the ball. The second Middlesbrough goal was embarrassing, with Dijksteel strolling through our defence.
If it wasn't for that home win against Derby we would be at the bottom of the form table. I wonder if the lack of a reliable goal-scorer is affecting the morale of the team? |

The issue with physicality is that it's not something you can just decide for yourself while ignoring the rest of the league. If other teams are physical you need players who can deal with that. We do seem to have a lot of smaller players. This is not to say that all physical teams are good, or that smaller players can't deal with taller players (Luongo had a great ability to come out of tackles with the ball).
The fact that we don't have a reliable striker is a separate issue (and a seemingly never-ending one), although perhaps related in that if we had more of an attacking threat the smaller advanced midfield players would be able to get more involved in games (attack being a form of defence). We were always limited, even when we had Celar, and now we don't even have him available. |

That's a lot of unknowns in terms of next season's players, and it makes you wonder how far a club can progress if it's rebuilding the squad every season. And how far can you progress in a baby vomit kit?
We really seem to have lost momentum...our lack of options up front has caught up with us. |
