I heard they had a personal address from DJ Provoi from the band Kneecap too. Independence is one (moronic) idea, inviting a terrorist sympathiser to spout anti English garbage just means the entire march loses credibility. The same 6000 will be in the next place this time next year. |

In this instance DCWW haven't broken any rules. They do regularly and there is no way the CEO's salary can be justified. But ultimately it's the bill payers who stump up for any fines and upgrading the infrastructure, in many cases that infrastructure should be in St Fagans. Water should never have been privatised. |

St George. Who was born in Italy, lived in Palestine and a righteous person in Islam. Yet the far right wave his banner. It's a funny old world. |

No it's not. Wales have had more than England, but less than Northern Ireland and Scotland. None of them have had enough. Just look at the thread about ambulance waiting times. I'm not defending anyone but the root cause for everything is Tory austerity. |

But for 14 years that haven't had the proverbial pot to pi$$ in. Labour in the Senedd especially under Drakeford haven't been great but the overarching issues are caused by austerity. |
 | Forum Reply | Man dies waiting nine-and-a-half hours for ambulance ... at 12:39 21 Apr 2025
Our neighbour had a heart attack yesterday. We're about 1.5 miles from Morriston a&e and the wait for the ambulance was 6 hrs. His 80 year old mother took him to hospital in the car, he is an A&E senior nurse in SE England and had to insist he was seen asap. Two stents later, a scan tomorrow and he's still alive, he wouldn't be if he'd waited for the ambulance. |

They only got that cash 2 and a half weeks ago via Westminster. They'll spend some on things I don't think they should but let's give them a chance. |

It's just extremists that are the problem. Sensible groups aren't. Then of course certain media sources massively over represent the tiny minority of these groups and group them in with the main issue. I'd add just stop oil in to that group, worthwhile and noble cause but just piss people off with the way in which they raise their concerns. |

But we don't stigmatise them either. The actual reassignment process is long and complicated, it needs to be too. For my money it's only after that point they should be considered to be their desired sex. But I don't pretend to understand it completely. The human body gets things wrong sometimes. |

We do. We need people to vote, and not for Reform - they'd be worse than the others put together. The other and most important change we need is a politically neutral media. |

Funding directly proportional to that in England through the Barnett formula. Not enough money filters down, austerity in England = austerity in Wales. |

Everything that's wrong with the country has been inflicted on us by 14 years of the Tories. |

Excellent post and points made by Dr Winston too. Gender is a hugely complex issue for some. I don't pretend to understand it. I genuinely believe the gender dysphoria is a real issue and ruins people's lives, I have second hand experience of it, including a colleague who has pretty much been driven out of their mid Wales town due to abuse directed at their very young trans son. As always it's the extremists that cause problems, there's a world of difference between somebody who's body has malfunctioned in some way and somebody switching between sex / gender on a whim. There's very few of the latter except in the Daily Mail. [Post edited 20 Apr 8:51]

Farage would be a disaster. So would Rupert Lowe. |

I've heard them referred to as Bandwagon FC. Seems appropriate to me. A girl in work with me has been to watch them a few times in Wrexham becasue she fancies one of the actors. It sort of sums them up. To be honest I don't care about them. Just another club. |

They do need to wake up. The first thing they need to do is vote in the first place, we don't always vote Labour, most people don't vote at all. That allows Welsh Labour to rely on their traditional support. I don't understand how the public have been so complacent and let the Senedd get away with things for so long. NHS is in a mess - that's ok, education is rubbish - that doesn't bother me, stupidly strict covid restrictions - lets allow them to get a working majority again, Cardiff gets everything (including first minister constituencies) - Fine by me. Slightly reduce the speed limit on roads I drive on every day! I'm not having that, I'm going to vote for Reform! Why? Can't tell you that because I don't know. Who on earth do we vote for? We need massive political reform - I'd love a sensible centrist party to emerge from somewhere. |

I think Port Talbot was losing pretty much double what Scunthorpe is though. |
