POTY Nardi, closely followed by Dunne and Saito who if he maintains his current form or betters it, is likely to be my POTY before the end of the season. Saito looks like he really enjoys it too. |

100% this. Other than the first and last 15 minutes or so we played excellent and efficient football, really a joy to watch. Edwards, Saito, Varane, Yang were all very good, Chair outstanding, can't remember him ever playing that well for us, much more direct and effective last night than he often has been, and the rest were all good. Ok Derby weren't great but they started well and we needed to be close to our best to win. |

When I could get to games I used to love the evening games under the lights and hated the half asleep breakfast time kick offs. Now spending a lot of time in Thailand the evening games have me up until after 5 o clock in the morning, 2 times this week, so really aren't my favourite time anymore. |

I have my doubts that Marti will stay for next season if we remain a lower mid-table Club. He hasn't stayed much longer than this at his previous Clubs. It looks unlikely but this season is as good a chance we may get for years to make the play-offs. So I hope we really go for it now, use the best players we have available for the rest of the season and even if we just miss out perhaps that would encourage Marti and Xavi to stay. |

I think Yang is mainly with us to be cover, back-up for Smyth, including like last night when Smyth looked like he was tiring and had got a knock. Yang has the pace we need out there too. I don't remember seeing Kolli play right wing and don't think he's got that much pace. Marti is using him as a striker though I guess he could play as a 10 as well, where we should be well covered when Dembele is back. |

It was a real joy to watch Saito skills, tricking his way past defenders last night. The one where he got through 3 of them on the touchline made it worth staying up to 5am by itself. He also made one huge tackle. Nardi or Saito MOM for me, I'd go Nardi. |

Paal ain't sh*te, just inconsistent. Eg. His interplay up the left wing and ball in for Frey which he should of scored from, was superb++. So was a double goal saving clearance 1st half. But then he seems to switch off sometimes. |

Some players improve given time. Ferdinand and Vardy as someone said. I also give you Smyth who I didn't particularly rate during his first spell with us and wasn't enthusiastic about his return, but he's come on really well with us this season, and with a previous history not dissimilar to Kelman. Don't know if Kelman can do well in the Championship or not, but it sounds like he's been doing well enough at Orient to get the opportunity, hopefully still with us. |

Chair did very well in the 10 role and no doubt he'll be used there more if he stays fit. But what was most notable for me was how much sharper he was than in his previous games since returning from his last injury. Looked considerably more fit suddenly. Great to see, it has taken some time. Just his finishing still not quite there. |

I think Marti is right to play the best players we have while we have them. I think Cook is going to have to get his form back quick otherwise Morrison may take his place. |

I think Madsen did better in his first games for us, when he passed the ball forward quick and accurately. Then he got a lot of flack for not tackling or running enough. Since then he looked like he had been told to do the defensive work but that came with what he was good at the quick passing, disappearing from his game. I hope he can get that back but more likely I think he'll move onto another League where football is played at a slower pace. |
