Said it before and I’ll say it again… i get more enjoyment watching my son play youth football. Not just because it’s my son but it’s just more fun to watch. It’s more honest and straightforward too. No sitting in the box to try and stop the opponent get a goal, no rolling around, none of that schit that, along with obscene wages, is killing the professional game. They’ve won 7 out of 8 including a superb 5-2 away win (my son scored the first then spent the next 3/4 of the game in goal due to a goalie problem) last week at Corinthian Casuals. Just having breakfast now as we get ready for a home game this morning in what looks like warm but blustery conditions. Bring it on. [Post edited 24 Nov 9:35]

Data is so much bollox. Look at Joe Allen when he was at Swanseaola all them years ago. Great stats but actually wasn’t all that, just passed to someone 2ft away to notch up another ‘click’ on the pass completion rate. After a £10m+ move to Liverpool, based on his ‘stats’ even Gerrard got pi$$ed off with him making so many meaningless short passes, nothing was ever incisive to send a player through on goal. Stats, my @rse |

Back in the early days of arcade machines, if you got a high score you could put three letters in, so naturally I put in QPR. |

Not sure if they are still there but I remember an outcry years ago about a massively confusing set of signs around Queens Crescent/Weedington Road near Kentish Town. Not only were there a whole heap of signs attached to one pole, but there is a long list of times/regulations as to when you can & can't drive down there. How the hell is anyone able to process all that information in a second or two? No wonder they raked it in on fines. |

That cycle route is really dangerous. I used to work at the Chiswick end (right by the old VW place) of King Street some 20 years ago but stopped a few years later. Went across it on my motorbike a few weeks ago for the first time in years due to a detour and had no idea that cycle lane was there as I approached King St and could easily have collided with one. |

For all those that have made money (fair play to them) there will probably be 10x / 100x / 1000x etc more that have lost schit loads. It really is immensely high risk. In January this year it was £31k/1 bitcoin, now it's £74k, bonkers. I'm sure Russian Bot/Sakura will be all smug and 'told you so' about this but the reality is that it's easy to be smug a year on. 5 years ago it was £5k/1 bitcoin and has gone up and down again like a yo-yo so it really is unpredictable and most importantly you know have to put in huge amounts, it's not like 10/15/20 years ago where you could risk a few hundred, maybe a couple of thousand pounds. Any form of investment/gambling should be based on how much you are prepared to lose, once you go beyond that you are in trouble. |

Same here with "Cats in the cradle". Just thought it was a soft-rock cover of a song with a quirky chorus...... then when my son was born my missus played it to me again (the original Harry Chapin version, which was actually a reflection of his own lost relationship with his father) and I took note of the lyrics and ... *wallop* it really hit me what the song was about. Father's in particular are so focussed on 'providing for my family' that they spend so long working and not seeing the children that they lose sight of what is actually really important... the kids. I put time with them over material things all day long. [Post edited 19 Nov 10:43]

With the exception of Chelsea I really can't be bothered with hatred of clubs anymore. Probably have more disgust of my own at the moment!! |

This obsession with over saturated 24-7 news (in all walks of life, not just football) is like a drug and can be exhausting. I don't have twitter and I don't have tons of Facebook groups and I just keep an eye manually on a couple of news outlets. It's so much better. |

Maybe owners need to be a bit more savvy and not be so easily blinded by what they are told/presented with, a bit gullible if you ask me. We had someone join at work a couple of years ago who told everyone above him everything they wanted to hear (about income revenue etc) and they lapped it up. I sussed out his BS within about 2 weeks but had to deal with the BS all that time, it was painful. He didn't even hit 50% of his promised revenue. He recently got made redundant. |

Banning of "(insert player name) Give me your shirt" placards will also help. Cringeworthy. |

Don't forget AFC Wimbledon. If we're going to geographically include Watford & Luton then Wycombe (as has been mentioned on one of the replies), Dagenham & Redbridge, Sutton Utd, Barnet and possibly even Bromley also have to be included too. |

Shades of Briatore. For a man who came from the retail industry where 'the customer is king' he didn't half show utter contempt for the 'cutomers' of QPR. |
