If we invested in the best pitch covers that are rated to minus 10 degrees with under soil heating along the side of the pitch sheltered by the main stand. Sort the drainage system out, properly. Then there would be far fewer postponements. |

Going forward in the close season next year a major overhaul of the pitch done properly along with vast improvements to the ticketing system will pay dividends. I know today's game is was buy tickets by 5pm the day before but had it been a more standard fixture, with other games being called off in the area. Some folk might have chosen a trip to Spotland for their weekend footy fix. |

My plan is come up Friday stay overnight go to the game and head back in the afternoon. Room is booked but I opted for the non refundable option. So do I chance it or do I forfeit the room and make other arrangements? |

The weather has been harsh enough for a local to voice concerns. True the club can't give any guarantees. They can give updates on the current pitch conditions. Fans can be informed about measures that have been taken to ensure the game goes ahead with the best possible playing surface. Turn the comments from Biffos on their head and use them as a rallying call. |

Joking about the silly comments from the Oldham contingent aside. Travel arrangements will have been made, some may have booked time off. Others may have made hotel/guest house reservations, some all three. |
