We could have a Middle Eastern State as owners. They still couldn't spend any more than we do now. The wealth or otherwise of ownership is largely irrelevant and has been for years. Maybe one day you'll understand. |

European Nations have spent decades skimping on their responsibilities and relying on American power to protect them, generally whilst being all snooty and critical of the US in the process.
It's one of the few things that Trump is entirely correct and justified on criticising for. |

The squad is obviously capable of a reasonable mid table finish. The coach isn't, and the players know it. We have to get rid of him. |

"Individual errors" are an inevitable result of the kind of idiotic passing for the sake of passing that we employed under Martin and now with the Temu version that we currently have in charge of the club. If people haven't grasped that even though we've had almost four entire years of it, then it says a lot about them.
Then again the type of person who would defend Williams in the situation we find ourselves in now is no doubt the type of person who thought that Russell Martin was clearly a Premier League manager in waiting and not a total prat masquerading as one.

Franco should have started. That he didn't just underlines the belief that there is some part of Williams' psyche that doesn't "get" him.
Fulton wasn't the issue. The herd mentality will decide otherwise, but he played a fairly typical Grimes game throughout. The fact that even though he's gone we still felt we needed someone to do that is the whole problem. |

I can't hate Coleman.
I don't doubt his intentions, but he's out of his depth and I suspect that nobody is more aware of that than him. Hence his reluctance to do anything about Williams until someone he considers more qualified (opinions may vary) to make that decision is in place. |

We currently sit 12th in the table for away form and 21st in the table for home form, which tells you precisely where our problem lies.
If the squad was truly as awful as some people believe then there's no way on Earth we'd be achieving the halfway decent results on the road that we are. Our biggest problem is that we play the same way at home as we do away. We only have a Plan A, and when that doesn't work all Williams is capable of doing is trying Plan A harder.
This also factors into the sheer boredom that is most games at home and the cratering attendances. A cagey, possession centric style may work well on the road. At home, we need to do more. People aren't excited by passing the ball around endlessly trying to frustrate the opposition. They want to see us on the front foot trying to win games, and we don't. Instead we make it easy for the away team to do precisely that to us. |

Because Notts County have spent bonkers amounts of money in recent years, something their fans don't want to acknowledge because they prefer the narrative of "poor" them Vs "rich" Wrexham, when in reality both had budgets that almost everyone else at their levels couldn't get near.
Also puts Williams achievements there into perspective. |

This may not go down well on a thread such as this, but to me it seems fairly obvious that one of the reasons for Welsh Rugby's current malaise is the relative success of the football teams since 2010.
If you were a sporting mad kid in Wales during the last fifteen years, then you're not going to grow up wanting to be Alun Wyn Jones. You're going to want to be Gareth Bale, or Michu. Or Aaron Ramsey, or Joe Allen. Rugby simply isn't going to register. The talent isn't coming through the ranks because interest in Rugby Union just hasn't been there.
I don't doubt that potentially excellent Rugby players who have never considered becoming so can be found in the stands at most Swans or Cardiff games. |
