always thought that wierd, ever since I was a little kid (at the Vetch in the 70's) me and my dad used to do the opposite, wait 5 or 10 minutes after everyone else leave = hardly any traffic

Those were the days, the 7.30 pm kick offs. How I miss them .

Each time I go to Bedd - au........................

They should never have designed a concourse into the stadium and built seats there instead. Would have given us an extra few thousand on the capacity and stopped the loitering also.

It wasn't until someone behind me started singing "Is this a fire drill?" that I noticed that people were leaving, such was my own enthrallment with the game.
It's not so bad where I sit now but when I was in the East (South) corner it used to pi$$ me off no end. It's like someone coming into your house and walking in front of the tv. Ignorant barstuards!

My ol fella ,bless him,use to stay behind after watching all the game and wait for the traffic to clear

Aye, those were the days Richy? Shame that we can't do that anymore as that used to be a time to reflect on what I had just seen for the last 90+mInutes.
Now the stewards ask you to "clear the stadium" And no matter who agrees with me...or not, I Still miss some aspects of The Vetch...a lot.

Someone told me that it was mentioned in the forum last week that you've legally got up to an hour to leave the ground after the game,is that correct?

No Darran, as Ive been turfed out swiftly from the ladies toilet, and been told that the ground must be cleared as quickly as possible!!
I have a feeling its to allow the stewards to go home....as quickly as possible

In the forum it was mentioned why we were rushed out, as Man City don't do this and actively encourage you to stay, as their shops/food outlets beer outlets are open after the game finishes by all accounts. Creating more revenue for the club obviously!

Leigh answered with what seemed to be the most popular answer that evening "we will look into it" which I take to mean we will do nothing about it.

I expect they're the newer breed of fans who are used to attending games that finish after 80 minutes.

Perhaps someone should tell them. Uggy Uggy Uggy

In all fairness, 70-80% of the people on the empty seats! like me sometimes, stand on the concourse and stream our when the whistle goes. I sometimes leave my seat in the north east, walk to the south east corner while the games still on, and wait on the end of the concourse until the final whistle goes, which I imagine a lot of people do.

Three times I had to tell people to get out of the f**king way as they were stood on the steps blocking my view, if you want to leave early, then do so, but don't stop in front of my seat blocking my view just because something exciting is happening on the pitch, f**k off out of the way and stand on the concourse so that I can see the match, I wouldn't do it to you, so don't do it to me.

Rant over.

"Who scored that Naughty?", "I don't know, I've forgotten my bl**dy glasses again!".

A lot don't actually leave but go down on to the concourse to watch the last few mins ,me included ,i hate crawling down those steep steps ,

Aye and block the view of those sitting in the front two rows of the east upper. The amount of people I have to tell to move out the way as I sit in an aisle seat is incredible. They start to walk down the steps then stop right at the bottom blocking every f u ckers view. Tits.
They also do this during the game to stop and talk to people FFS.

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

Exactly, I'm the same, in row K of the East stand right by the steps to the exit in the corner near the away end, the amount of thick headed quilts who stand at the bottom of the steps in unbelievable.

Stay in your seat until final whistle, or go on the concourse as quickly as possible. Stop blocking my view, YOU took the decision to leave your seat early, get to where you will not interfere in anyone's enjoyment of the game as quickly as possible. Never mind what happening on the pitch, it is not your concern as you are not in your seat. Stop in front of me again and you'll have my rolled up programme across the back of your swede!

to be fair most of those leaving thier seats are not leaving the ground but standing in the pathway readey to leave at the final whistle. still dont understand it though and its disrespectfull to the players as well. its not like its old trafford and theres 70k trying to get out of there. i leave after the players have gone in to the tunnel and it doesnt take me longf to get home at all.

I left with more than 10mins to go. I had travelled to Cardiff to start at 8am and finished at 19.00pm on top of that i,m waiting for an OP. But some people have reason to leave. I have most prob had a season ticket for many more years than fans on this site

I didn't leave early but I admit to walking down to the concourse two minutes before the end. I had a 20 minute walk to the car followed by a two hourish trip home and had to be in work by 7 this morning. OK? No? Tough s**t.

But on your main point, I don't get it either, but if you pay your money you're free to leave exactly when you want; or stay glued to your seat. Up to you.

AS it happens I stayed behind in the end to clap the team as I'd been so thrilled by the game, so might as well have stayed in my sodding seat anyway.

We also leave our seat`s with a few minutes remaining, and then watch the remainder of the game by the way out, so when the final whistle goes we are straight out of the ground and driving off before the rest emerge, by doing this we are a a good 20 minutes earlier getting home to eat the meal that has been prepared for me, so Jackfarth i hope it make`s you feel a little better knowing that quite a few who leave there seat`s early, still stay in the stadium to watch the full game. we also sit at the end of a row so when we leave we do not get in the way of anyone.
