In any level of football that takes some doing, would Hilly take a chance on a 27 year old? At that age there wouldn't be much chance of a huge sell on if he started banging them in.

The article says Reeves has a clause allowing a League Club to take him for free. He would cost us a wage and no more. If he scored the goals that got us promoted, I'd be happy to forget about the lack of any potential sell-on fee.

It does make you wonder why no club has taken a chance on him. Might be worth adding to our trip abroad this summer to take a look at him.

I agree. The article mentions a trial game for Gillingham, but I remember he trained with Doncaster last summer too, and nothing clearly came of that. A trip to Spain would let Hilly run the rule, for sure.

Wouldn't mind us signing reeves' strike partner Duncan watmore, only young and supposed to be a class little player.

Part time suits him because he has a successful roofing business. Word is it would take large wages to make him got full time hence why the deal to Bristol Rovers fell through.

Sounds Like Hilly is Busy Already. on 16:34 - May 2 by MoonyDale | I think it's a cert that JK will move on, will be more surprised if he stays rather than goes. Not sure about Tutte as he is still injured and he may stay, would be nice to have a few new faces before the team fly out in June. |
Is Tutte under 24? | |

I cant see Hill signing a non league striker, I can see him signing someone from a higher teams reserves, and hope to build them into a star, ala Holt/Daggers. Reeves will be under pressure to score for whoever buys him, given his goalscoring record, and that could damage his confidence, it is a big difference to playing in the football league, he needs to pick the right club that will allow him to develop.

We have great recent history with a striker who ran a successful business and hadn't yet found his footballing niche

Sounds Like Hilly is Busy Already. on 16:01 - May 2 by Pops2 | I expect the list will be announced any time now. I think we will release most of those out of contract such as Belford Hughes Sodje Skarz (already gone) Carrington Healy Picken Carrington (linked with Grimsby) Harrad Marshall I think we will try and offload Bishop who has a year left plus Byrne. Schumachaer and Worrall will probably go and we will be due a fee (probably £5k) if the Skarz deal is a benchmark. Clarke-Harris had a great loan spell coming in at the end of the season. 18 yr old and built like a tank. We are supposed to be trying to sign him which would make pops very happy because he is quality. Jones has a year left and was given a chance at the end of the season and did well before picking up an injury. I think we will try and sign Soares and Fagan. If we get those 3 and keep Worrall and possibly Schumacher then the rest can go for me. Blackwell has already said he will be signing 15 players suggesting most if not all are off. My friend at work (she knows p!ss all about football so I believe her) is friends with David Worrall and she says Oldham have put a bid in for him and he's set to join them.

Hope so. I was surprised to see Molyneux's a left back. He seemed to be scoring every week towards the end of the season. Interesting to see in that MEN article that Hilly was particularly happy about Dagenham staying up. I wonder why? Do they play joga bonito?

They played Molyneux in midfield - he'd come on as sub at Dale in that role.

I think he was alluding to the fact that Barnet have escaped three years running and their solution this year was to bring in Davids, someone with zero knowledge and experience of League Two football, which clearly didn't work. Dagenham, meanwhile, have sold their best players over the years then their manager jumped ship for Luton. A bit like Dale in fact. I also know that Hill and Flicker used to get on well with John Still so there will be a mutual respect between them and by extension, the clubs. (Excepting the time Scrutator described their ground as looking like a shanty town, of course!) That's how I read it, anyway.

Judy Banum had a cracking goal record at Hyde but did nothing at league level - and he was on Holt money at shrews - Maybe thats why nobody took the chance!

Surpassed themselves. GINORMOUS Craig Dawson and random Cardiff players on one page. SUPERBIG Reece Gray with his eyes closed on another. Tremendous work.
