Quickly turning into a bald drewe broughton, evil's career has turned into a bit of a comedy these days. Nothing more comical than the fact we got him back, couldn't believe it, although he did score a couple of important goals, like his shrewsbury brace.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

Kev Townson moved on earlier in season, think he is playing in the Liverpool league now

Sad to see a player with the potential that Townson had to be wasted as it was. England U19. What went wrong?

Look back to the players 10 years ago

Patrick McCourt - N Ireland int
Lee McEvilly - N Ireland int
Kev Townson - England 19

perhaps they had too much too soon? Wrong moves in Evil and super Kev with agents in their ears?

Wasnt John Hollins the agent for Evil after he left Dale as manager as well?

Oh come on! Townson was without doubt the most overrated player to ever wear a Dale shirt. Totally ineffectual and lightweight, even in games he scored he averaged about 5 touches of the ball per game on a good day. 10 years down the line I'm still fuming that he was ever preferred to the great Paul Connor - who was outstanding circa 2000-02 or whenever it was - unplayable on his day.

to this day i cant figure why hill gave him an 18 month contract, that shrews game was great, if only to rub in in Holts face after his celebration.

Life is a game of fate.

I have to agree paul connor was unplayable on his day, just look at those goals against Carlisle.
That side foot into the top corner....pure class.

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds
