I go to see the R’s several times a year - but I am like an albatross when it comes to seeing them picking up three points. The last time I saw them win was Ian Holloway’s first game back as manager, when they beat Naaarch 1-0 at Loftus Road about 8 years ago. I’m going to see the R’s on Tuesday night. What odds on me seeing them finish winning a rare 3 points?

A huge difference to the Ainsworth period is that teams are not routinely destroying us. We are at least competitive and creating chances. Sooner rather than later, the luck will fall our way and we'll turn a positive first 15 to a goal and then a first goal to a second goal. So why not tonight against a team completely shot of confidence?

2-1, Dembele and Celar. Cov goal in second half to make it 2-1 and give us a nervy finish but a classic night under the lights at LR.

Andersen has been in such poor form and Dembele plays better when central so I’d be tempted to go for;
Nardi
Dunne cook JCS
Field Varane
Saito Dembele Chair
Frey

If JCS is fit, we'll revert to 4 at the back - but in this back 3 line up, who are your wingbacks, chair and saito?
Plus, if we start with 10, as you suggest, we'll likely be lessening our chances

I’m starting off midday tomorrow at the Market Porter in Borough Market and working my way across London until I get to the White Horse about six.

Then two hours later - unless my eight year curse is broken - the ref blows his whistle - and the day goes downhill.

Been going since 1962- and I wonder why I bother now. Will I feel any differently at ten tomorrow evening?

Sounds like a damn good day though, regardless of the football!

OP beats me with his 8 year run

I am a ST holder but live abroad and get back for on average 10 to 12 games home and away per season. I have not seen us win since Wigan at home exactly 2 years today!

Overseas R here , just made the decision to stay up to 1am on a school night to witness the latest installment because if I don't ill miss one of those legendary inexplicable nights where we turn it on against all the odds. Fml.

I won't even bother watching it on the TV tonight. It always seems like when we are on Sky that the commentators want the other team to win worsening my mood.

I thought Cardiff and Portsmouth were the two worst teams but I now realise I was wrong. We lose to Portsmouth at home for the first time since before I was born and Cardiff win two on the bounce at home without conceding a goal. To make it worse they beat two teams we couldn't beat at home.

Plymouth, Hull, Millwall, Portsmouth all winnable games tossed away and tonight another opponent in the same category. I have never seen such a weak home team anywhere in my life until covid came along and step forward QPR who seem to have become diseased playing on their own turf. Yet despite this and our pitiful displays, some still believe we will win tonight. I must be living in a parallel universe for the last 3 years...

Game is live on tv in the good old US of A. Neighbour has also asked me if I could help him bleed his brakes this afternoon.

I’m torn!

Glad JCS Varane Smyth in.

Frey must be injured but am quite happy Celar being given a chance. Feel he could work. Just needs confidence boosted.

So apart from maybe Colback and Frey, it's our first team.

Happy we have Lloyd and Saito on the bench.

Dembele in central position it seems. With Smyth wide that hopefully means we have the pace upfront. If they play well and Chair sit in on this one (geddit?) there will be no excuses for Celar now.

Lets see if Varane can help Field out in the centre as with that forward line they only have to protect the defence and feed the forward line.

If they manage to sort out, with Saito and LLoyd to come, it looks okay. But as we have seen at the weekend, Charity Park Rangers are back!

zzzzzzzzzz
