I thought Blanchini looked quite good the 30 minutes we saw of him on Wednesday.

If he is no good then he will be a problem as he has signed to the summer of 2028.

I thought he was poor when he came on today, as they all were apart from Vigouroux.

He put two lovely crosses in in the space of about five minutes but we'd already taken ZV off by then. Needs games for me. Get him up to speed the same way we did with Eom.

Florian Bianchini worth more than Eom? 🤔 on 21:05 - Oct 5 with 1366 views | Treforys_Jack | He was awful, looked like he'd won a raffle ticket to get a game today, then out of the blue he whipped in 2 quality crosses. Think he will need time to get up to the speed and physicality in the Championship, hopefully there's a player in there.

Two excellent crosses when VIP was off the pitch. Cullen was nowhere.

Florian Bianchini worth more than Eom? 🤔 on 22:33 - Oct 5 with 1221 views | RichardO | He thinks he needs to do something special but just needs to get himself up to speed hard with only a number of minutes to prove himself, Ronald had very little change out of his marking fullback when he tried to take him on Bianchini and Abdulai same, the swap of wings helped him, the jury is still out on him.
Florian Bianchini worth more than Eom? 🤔 on 08:10 - Oct 6 with 1020 views | jack247 | He’s direct and he doesn’t mind running at people. I’m not sure if that’s necessarily what Williams wants, he’ll lose possession, but he’ll also open up gaps. Had a tough time yesterday, but I thought he looked promising at Sheffield. Still a bit off the pace, definitely needs more minutes.
Florian Bianchini worth more than Eom? 🤔 on 08:52 - Oct 6 with 973 views | builthjack | He put in a couple of crosses yesterday, as any winger, whether village football or premier league , should. Otherwise he was awful. But time will tell. Hopefully with games he will settle in and improve. £2m is a lot to pay if he is another failure.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

How many times have we seen players taking too many touches and getting themselves into trouble, Grimes has done it, both Celina and Ntcham did it while dropping deep into positions trying to do things that might come off so helping create something further up the park but were suicidal when tried so deep. Nice to see the quality crosses he made when he swapped sides because he was getting so much abuse for his own fans as he made mistakes, as I said in another thread against a defender who gave little options to Ronald as well as Abdulai when marking them on the wing although he did seem to lose sight of Ronald in the box. How many times have we seen subs come on that right hand side and look gash because there is no support for the that player facing his own goal and being expected to get the ball forward with no chance available to him to do so?

Most of these players have never played in a league as fast and frenetic as The Championship. It's not a question of skill, or fitness, but adaptation. Like I said the other day, sharpness, not fitness. Eom is the example that I keep coming back to. It took him all of August and most of September, playing a good 60-70 minutes per game to get up to the speed of play. Now he's looking comfortable. Bianchini and to a lesser extent Vipotnik haven't had anything like the same amount of time on the pitch to adjust. From what I've seen of Bianchini so far he's certainly got the ability, but needs to get to grips with the lack of time he'll have on the ball. Couple of times yesterday he got caught in possession. That will come with time. Going forward he looked promising. Mind you, the rest of the team have to do their part as well by speeding up our own distribution instead of recycling everything through Grimes every five minutes. [Post edited 6 Oct 9:38]

I agree with almost all of this. Only difference is Eom was in shape and just needed match sharpness (still does to an extent), the other two need both. I’m less concerned about Bianchini than I am about Vipotnik. One he looks closer to both fitness and sharpness, two there is much less pressure on him. When you’ve only got two strikers and only one of them is big and physical, there’s a lot of expectation.

That sharpness helps with the descion making but if players are restricted by a coaches demands in certain areas of the pitch, they end up being indecisive taking that extra touch giving the opposition time to counter things if the descions are made quicker runs are seen and defenders struggle instead of the forwards.
