Over 46 games that is 39 points. I think we'll do worse than that and 35 points only means one thing in this division. We were utterly rank since October and do not have the personnel for Ainsworth's style. Get rid of Adomah, Johansen, Dozzell, Kelman, do not sign Archer or Martin and we might do better than I think, but that looks unlikely.
We have not changed anything above the manager, have more that needs changing and less budget than ever, so this is an utterly vital window.
How anyone puts us above the bottom three in this league at this stage is beyond me. Amazing that we are only 5th faves to go down. We really were dog awful last season.
"0.85 points per game this season."
As we ended up with 50 points, we gained 1.09 points per game.
I do agree with your wishes for players leaving the club though!

Hard to know expectations until we know the squad.
Gut feeling is that we'll struggle again. But I also feel there's something in some of these players that they're capable of more.
I'd be looking for Dobbo to work his magic and get a couple of more experienced heads in to reset the standards, cos there's a few fragile players who've gotten too used to losing who need to be shaped up or shipped on

Impossible, in fact. I think we're in real, real trouble, but I find it hard enough to write the season preview in the first week of August when there's still a month of transfer window left - Birmingham had 15 professionals when I wrote it last season, by the end of the month they'd added multiple bodies and so my prediction of them finishing last didn't look so hot.
What we do need to see though is some quite serious change. I'm usually all about continuity but I don't see how you can have the season we had last year and just go into the new one with all the same people. The need to bring in Chris Martin, the summer recruitment, the lack of academy prospects - people responsible for this and overseeing it need to be replaced. At least some of them. But it just looks like we're going to "go again" with the same people. That worries me a lot. It feels like we've gone very stale, no fresh ideas, lots of talk about what we can't do and not a lot of talk about what we can.
Similarly, bar one hot run of about a month under Beale, this team has been losing and playing poorly for 18 months now. It is devoid of confidence completely, and quite a few of them just simply don't want to be here any more. It needs a significant overhaul. Every position needs strengthening, along with all those intangible things like strength in adversity, voice, nastiness etc.
I do think it'll get that to a certain extent, but if we go in with all the same people upstairs, and the crux of the same team on the pitch it's going to be an absolute carve up. I was kind of hoping for some hand shakes and goodbyes the minute the season was over, but it feels a bit "thank fck we got away with that, right where we going golfing..."

I have been 80% sure for months that at the very least Les will be off; there have been numerous signs that he might be, not least Amit and Ruben spending 25 mins talking about the Ainsworth appointment and not mentioning Les once and Ainsworth saying more than once big change was coming behind the scenes this summer. At the end of the season, Amit tweeted it was time to reflect and take stock. I assume everyone went on holiday, but it feels like the next week, 2 at the most, is when, if there is going to be change, it will start to happen. I've been a huge supporter of Les, but I can't really believe they'd go into the next season without any change anywhere at all. The fact that there's no announcement at all could mean that change is larger than we expect - or it could mean, bafflingly, that there will be none. Either way, whatever E15 likes to hope, we're in an enormous mess. It *is* salvageable, anything is salvageable at this stage with 3 or 4 signings - as we proved last season, you can be absolutely sh!t and still stay in this division - but we are at our weakest point since before the Briatore takeover imo.
Bare bones.

As we are looking at next seasons expectations it is worth pointing out that based on last seasons average home attendances there will only be three teams lower than us.

Silence is golden for the moment. I cannot see the owners allowing this shite-show to continue. I think they are a genuinely honest and smart group of people and God knows why they still pump in £M's every year. I would be astonished if they stand-still and allow the woeful standards on and off the pitch to continue. They would not allow it in their respective global business interests, so I can see a huge amount of churn of players, employees and other backroom staff who have not performed for the club. Big question is can GA turn it around in what little time is left of the season? He would not have been my ideal choice but he had WW punching way above their weight for quite a few seasons and I suspect he knows who he does not want moving forward. There are certainly some decent players in L1&2 who could step up and perhaps that is where the recruitment will be centred. It will not have gone un-noticed that despite the team being dreadful, LR was almost full towards the end of the season. The club has incredible potential and I am sure the owners know that.

I too was expecting a bit more action maybe Like Bayern who won the title and punted their DOF at the final whistle. Joking aside whole club just reeks of putting up with mediocrity and couldnae give a sht at the moment…. My expectations are in line with that.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić got sacked on the pitch 😳
i think we can guess from the lack of any off-field personnel that Les, Belk and Hoos are now probably here to stay (not that i want all 3 gone, but i am aware there are others who do).

are the self same clowns who should've said to CandleFace "thanks but jog on" after his on pitch Wembley interview about how in Extra Time he was thinking about what golf clubs to play over the summer.
If my standards were in the gutter they'd still be miles above any level of standards this club has now.

“Changeless as canal water” don't know where I heard that years ago, but it seems to apply to our situation vis a vis the upper management. I suppose it also applies to us poor saps forking out the cash year on year.

I simply don't understand how Les is still here, and how given the lack of talent coming through the academy, there has not been a major shake up there.

I have been wondering for a while if our owners are going to give Les a bit more time, to see if he can change things. I've no idea if they will.
We do need a squad with more mental toughness and which takes pride in playing for QPR. Ability is no good without application and effort.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

That's the issue in a nutshell there hasn't been any standards at the club for years .
We need a new CEO and a DOF to breath some new life into the club to try and be the best we can be rather than just throwing our hands up and accepting being sht

didn't we have a few decent prospects coming through, read on here a few months back the current crop at under 18 level are pretty good but not seen them myself
Personally think they will stick with Les and Hoos as they are easy things to change and gets fans onside next season when things go wrong, a nice easy scapegoat for the board
The club should be urgently getting in a full time chairmen and should certainly be getting a new CEO and DOF but doesn't look like they will
Would say it's hard to judge next season, everything is doom and gloom at the moment but this club are always one good transfer window away from a good season and a bad one away from disaster, 4/5 decent additions this summer and the squad looks very different

Indeed. However, it's a very dangerous strategy; people were pretty fed up with the club's upper tier of management by the end of last season. One only has to remember the atmosphere at the Coventry match, for instance. People got behind the team for the last few matches because they didn't want us to go down but that disenchantment is still there and if we start badly - and play unattractive football too - it will unravel very, very quickly.

How can a group of footballing professionals with x number of years in the game take a look at last season and say 'Yup - more of the same please'? It just won't happen.
The will to improve is there. If we can take that on board and bring in some faces who genuinely see QPR as a step up rather than stepping stone, we have a chance.
Oh, and fùck Chelsea.
'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'
