Correct.
His involvement made the people of this country an ISIS target.
While taxpayers funded his twenty four hour hour bodyguard protection, and probably still do.
It's an insult to us that this piece of shit has been given a knighthood.

The Most Noble Order of the Garter.
Not just any old knighthood.

Unfortunately although a quarter of the Labour MPs voted against the war, the Tory opposition voted for it.

That’s not the point I was making and you know it. Parliament made an assessment on the information it was presented with by the government of the day. Don’t try and shift the blame from Blair and Brown. That’s like blaming the jury.

They were in power and could have stopped it at any time

It got voted through because it had enough support from both sides of the House so you can’t just blame Blair. Blame Parliament. He was pushing for it but the Commons voted for it, both Labour and Tories.

Tony Blair is complicit in creating the most dangerous period in history for the ordinary man in the street since the horrendous days of the IRA causing carnage on the streets of Britain...an absolute arsehole who triggered a scenario of ever evolving and growing tensions within the countries Muslim community.hes worthy of the Hague and prison..nothing else.

13 Labour MPs voted against it.....13.

Anyway, if this is how it works, gets the Tories off the hook for loads of crap, which I am sure you will agree.

Not at all. If you bother to think about what was written I am saying that everybody who voted in favour is responsible and that it had cross party support so blaming one party is missing the point.

that is great. Nearly everything the Tory's have inflicted on the country, can attributed to the opposition

great game this

I'm sure the Tory's were part of the Dodgy Dossier that pushed the case for war

you are an absolute obsessed maniac. Your hatred for everything Tory belongs in the last century. tribal party politics is a thing of the 70s

You seem to be the one obsessed. Try reading it for a third time. The war would not have happened without cross party support therefore the blame cannot be laid at the feet of any one party, just those from all parties who voted for it. How you manage to bring Johnson into this just shows how obsessed you are Jay.

Maybe not. But I do find it perverse (freakish even), those who maintain complete tribal party politics in todays narrative. That train of thought belongs in the last century.

Our involvement in this war was definitely because of Blair. Parliament followed the forceful "advice" of the PM at the time and believed Blair when he said Sadam had weapons of mass destruction, so ofcourse most of parliament voted for it. But it was Blair who lead it and demanded it. The individual voters, voted on the information they were given by Blair. So it's definitely down to Blair.

However, although I can see the anger towards Blair, I'm not sure whether he knowingly lied. He may have done but he could also have believed that there were weapons of mass destruction and got it wrong. We don't know. Sadam was a brutal leader and I think Blair and Bush wanted rid, which wasn't a bad thing in itself, to want to get rid of such a threat to the world or someone who was abusing his own people. Had they left him in power, we don't know what arocities Sadam could have done, leaving us all to say why was he left in power, in hindsight. But it was disastrously naive. They naively thought they could change the country they invaded, make the world a safer place, but they made things worse. It was a brutal lesson for future leaders not to get involved with other countries' affairs, especially those that are entrenched in religion.

What on Earth are you talking about? For starters I have voted for all 3 main political parties in my lifetime so “tribal” hardly cuts it. As for Blair, yes he has to take ultimate responsibility for us getting involved in the Iraqi war but as said, he could not have done it without the support of the majority of MPs which he did, with cross party support (so it was not just a Labour thing). Plenty of MPs from all parties saw beyond the WoMD bullshit so why more voted for it is anyones guess.
The LibDems voted against the war. If the Tories had joined them along with the 84 Labour dissenters there would have been no war. As it is only 2 Tories voted no.
