Grand Prix decider 12:23 - Dec 12 with 6921 views | pikeypaul | 40 minutes until what should be a great final Grand Prix. I take Hamilton to win with Max having to start on soft tyres and a probable 2 stop strategy. Anyway May the best man win.

Interesting start on that front. Think Hamilton would have caught him up and overtaken anyway given the issues he was having with the soft tyres but it's a talking point.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Incredibly unlucky I suppose, but Hamilton couldn't relinquish the lead after Latifi crashed. Being he lead driver at that point was the worst thing in a way, as anything he did, Verstappen did the opposite. My heart was pounding. As an ending to a WC, rivals 2008 at Brazil. The first-lap incident was contentious and I'd argue that HAM should have probably handed position back. But as said above, HAM had the pace regardless and would have blasted past. The fallout will be big! [Post edited 12 Dec 2021 14:43]

You couldn't write that scenario unless you could write it!!! That looked manufactured. Of course the stewards decided it. The restaurant should've ended in yellow. How lucky do that disgrace of a team get almost every week.

I honestly missed that. If that's the case, it's appalling. Both Merc and Red Bull haranguing the FIA is shameful however. Neither have conducted themselves with a best grace.

Race Control initially said no lapped cars would be allowed to overtake, but changed it suddenly that only the ones in front of Max should clear!!

Just looks corrupt to me and clearly Hamilton shafted .II have pretty much contempt for this Verstappen bloke and Hamilton has come out of this cluster Farke with class . Great and exciting last lap though but I feel for Lewis The Sport of F1 is tainted to me

What do you mean like a ref carrying on playing way past extra time? I don't feel for Hamilton at all, he is a multi-millionaire from doing something he loves. We should all be so lucky

It is I feel. I'm a HAM fan and really wanted him to win but I'd fee really sorry for Max if this is decided off track. I actually quite like him. Same doesn't apply to Whinger Spice though.

Playing on in extra time is within the refs judgement. This a change of the rules akin to deciding that you can have an extra sub or that when the attacking team kicks the ball begins the goal it's a corner.

And that would go down to a ref blunder. There'd be no appeal from the team after the game and result wouldn't change. Yes, Mercedes will appeal and probably be found to be right but it will go down as a 'ref' blunder and result wont change.
