The average height of a European man has increased over the past century by more than 11cm, yet goals have remained at 24 feet wide since 1863 and 8 feet high since 1882. Would you change the dimensions of football goals?
Strikers need to improve their strike rate. But to do that more chances have to be created. We are a prime example of not getting the ball in the box, we would rather pass it 7 or 8 times out on the wing, then lose it.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I can see the argument for making the goal bigger, but don't like to see the game I grew up with tampered too much. So, it's a no from me.

No. If the goals were bigger, Reading would've equalised.
Being serious, making them bigger would unnecessarily change the game. Maybe there'd be less 0-0s, but it would take away the novelty of a high scoring game like 4-4. Imagine every time a team hit the post or crossbar that it is instead a goal. That's what it would be like.
Then there's goal scoring records which may be broken simply because the goals became bigger, rather than the player or team being better than the previous record holder.

It may not work that way, strikers/players shooting might believe they have more chance of scoring and it doesn't always help. Penalty and free kick takers will still aim for the edges and miss. Because of that I don't really see the point. If you're on that road you might as well say because players are so much fitter and have more endurance these days that we make the pitches bigger too.
What a stupid question. Not April fools day is it?
While we are it can we make the net bigger on basketball and netball , the wickets bigger on cricket, the net lower on tennis and badminton, and the dart board bigger on darts? That would be lovely. 😂
Oh and lower the cross bar on rugby and make the pitch half the size ðŸ‘ðŸ»
Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day

Ive always said that I'd be a better golfer if they made the hole bigger
On the other hand I'd be a better lover if they made it smaller

Yeah but everytime they hit it just over/wide it would hit the bar/post instead.
