Excellent report. Was a very emotional afternoon.

Never knowingly right.

Lovely tribute, Roller.

Thanks Roller. Good read. The club has done really well here.

Wow, that's an outstanding piece, so good I read it twice. Thank you, Simon. How good is LFW that a writer that thoughtful and observant can step in for someone as ace as Clive? I hope people at the club (who are doing such a great job in many ways) read this brilliant website and manange to ignore the poisonous trolls elsewhere.

A lovely report on a truly great day for Stan. To see him reveling in the occasion and thoroughly enjoying himself - the Bournemouth players and supporters joined in too and showed their class.
Best of luck Stanley, Rangers legend.

Wish I could be like David Watts

Great report.

I noticed that the fund in the link at the end has just nudged over £50k, but the target is £70k.

I'll lob something in later today.

Don Shanks must be emotionally shattered.

Nicely written Roller.

In the clubs video, I can see myself singing 'Stanley' and clapping like a madman as Stan took his last walk at half time.

What you can't see though are the tears.

Didn't think initially that I was going to be able to make it in person, but oh so glad that circumstances changed & I was able to be in SA Road. Very, very emotional day. So wonderful to see him lapping it up, his obvious joy was almost unbearably touching.

As has been said already, big shout out for AFC Bournemouth - the fans & players were immense on Saturday, Stan really appreciated the support from the away end too.

The only slight 'off' note was the group of "supporters" seated behind me, who halfway through the second half decided they weren't impressed with what they were seeing & scrapped plans to turn up for Reading on Saturday in favour of going to the Spuds-Juve game at Wembley instead.
