FAW Youth Cup on 20:24 - Mar 21 by Swanjaxs | Oooo Tommy O'Sullivan!! ..... really supprised he didnt go all the way!! 😮 |
Yeah, was a bit of a surprise. Think the main knock was clever player at times but never really bossed games, along with a lack of pace. Didn't impress when loaned out to lower divisions.

FAW Youth Cup on 20:25 - Mar 21 by blueytheblue | The logic isn't financial, it's about giving players every opportunity to show if they can raise their game rather than being in comfort zones. Does it make sense to keep 21, 22, 23 yr olds on small wages around when they have zero chance of getting close to the first team, irrespective of FFP? |
Why is it then most clubs still have this belief and CCFC are the exception?.

We had that belief. We chose to do something different. The reality is, we really need to bring players through the ranks for a number of reasons of which FFP is but one. You in the Prem can carry players that you think might possibly at some point maybe develop well enough. Teams like Chelski can carry enough youths to be able to loan 30+ out every season... We're trying to do something different. Those players released were those the cub looked at, couldn't see a future for them with us. Released early to give them better chances of getting new clubs before the mass of releases in summer.

Not so long back the emphasis was to nurture local talent, that died a death.

FAW Youth Cup on 21:03 - Mar 21 by blueytheblue | We're not bombing kids out at 16. We're promoting those deemed good enough to play at higher levels, not everyone en masse. The u16s were winning games, things were getting easy for some. In that case, for those players, they weren't being challenged. They weren't seeing the level they needed to step up to, weren't seeing the improvements. They weren't developing. That means we've had a group playing at u23 for several years, stagnating. |
Well you can say what you want bluey, but i'm sure i speak for many on here when i say it's just pointless us having you as a feeder club. The way your'e going about things it's very doubtful whether you will provide us with any stars for the future.

Lol, we'll see. You don't get Welsh youngsters in anyway, unless trampie has persuaded Leanne/Blodwyn to annex Falkirk.
