Question ; so what can you do about this situation now

Answer ; we can spread the word

Real Answer ; nothing!

""Although I cannot promise or predict the future, I can guarantee one thing - the current board of directors will always fight, as we have done over the last 12 years, to work together as one with the Supporters Trust to make 100% sure that Swansea City football club remains the number one priority in all our thoughts and in every decision we make."

Reading that the new owners really don't sound bothered about relegation, that is a worry.

I'm definitely bored of the mess the club is in for sure.

Another interview where they come out looking far worse.

The most depressing part;

"What can Trust members do at this time?

It is probably a spread the word situation really. We have given two, maybe three key addresses in recent times, the first forum back in October and it’s a case of people sharing that message, if you sit amongst 6 people on a match day and you think they don’t know then tell them what is going on because the local press haven’t reported an accurate account of what has been going on. You hear it and read that ‘we got £100 million’ and we don’t and people need to understand that."

You are the ones with hundreds of thousands of pounds in an account set aside for instances like this. It is YOUR JOB to spread the word. A few thousand leaflets, posters and an advert in the Evening Post wouldn't cost very much at all.

Agree. One member currently owns a printing business! How about handing out leaflets on match days?

See, this is the bit I don't get -
"So it’s important that we prepare ourselves right now because these guys might turn out to be alright ........."

Nobody from the Trust seems able to explain why "these guys might turn out to be alright" when they bought the club secretly behind the Trust's back and foisted Coach Bob on us behind the Trust's back.
Don't those actions show the Trust what sort of characters they're dealing with?

And he is happy to give a discounted rates to his friends. Or maybe that was another lie from Jim White and whoever else from The Trust told us that repeatedly.

"So it’s important that we prepare ourselves right now because these guys might turn out to be alright but the next ones might not. We don’t know."

It's beyond worrying that the only thing the trust are willing to do in a time when great action and upheaval is needed is to idly sit back and hope that "these guys might turn out to be alright." Jesus f***ing Christ.

How they haven't started organizing protests is beyond me. These new owners have treated the trust like sh*t time and time again and yet they cling on to the false hope that things may change. This is akin to a relationship between a timid and disheveled dog that continues to cling to his owner's side despite constant abuse and beatings.

NEWSFLASH: The Americans, as they have from day 1, see (and have treated) the trust as nothing more than a burden, hindrance, and obstacle towards them making a profit and them having complete control. The sooner they realize this the better. Seriously.

That whole paragraph is a bit weird. 'It's not about survival, it's about being in the PL at the right time. Keeping a good quality Championship squad together may not be important because we don't want pressure of having to come back up.', etc.

It's as if we can just pick and choose when we want to be in the PL. Last time we went down, it took us nearly 30 years to get back and we nearly went out of existence in the process.

All very worrying how lightly they (club and Trust) are viewing this predicament.

What I still don't understand in all this is, if the trust were part of a shareholders agreement, how were they left out of the sale of the club, unless they were not part of shareholders agreement in the first place, in which case they could be left out of any negotiations, or am I missing something important here
