Flippin heck, if you think Routs isn't having a good game then I could write your football knowledge on the back of a postage stamp.

With Barrow on the bench though hopefully he can come on and cause a few issues for city

Cork is still in slow motion and killing our moves. Rest of his game is ok. Same problem for Borja, players aren't close enough to him. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

*LEAGUE CUP* The Official Swansea City v Man City EFL Cup Thread on 20:34 - Sep 21 with 1914 views | Headmaster | Much, much better. Just like watching the Swansea of only a few seasons ago. Britton, despite his age, is the key for us. Borja looking an exciting prospect. We need to keep this going 2nd half and, crucially, the game on saturday. Could things be starting to look up?
*LEAGUE CUP* The Official Swansea City v Man City EFL Cup Thread on 20:34 - Sep 21 with 1903 views | TheKirkyLife | That was MUCH better. Van der Hoorn apart from that scary moment with a potential OG looks 10x the player Fernandez is and is clearly a better partner for Amat. Fulton and Britton doing so well in the middle of the park - I don't think Cork should be starting based on this. Move Fer in Gylfi's position and we have a side. Taylor and Routledge way off the pace. Lack quality in droves. Impressed with Borja's movement, unlucky not to be on the score sheet.

Yet that's been his weakest bit. A bit agricultural with his distribution, but defending well. A good balance with Amat. We're tidy up to the final third, but I don't see us creating anything any time soon.

*LEAGUE CUP* The Official Swansea City v Man City EFL Cup Thread on 20:38 - Sep 21 with 1775 views | Morganator100 | that has been way better than Sunday. FG has been clever by playing defensively minded midfielders and stopped Man City from playing their passing game. Due to this we've looked quite solid at the back. Amat though has a habit of holding on too long to the ball. Borja looks as if he has loads of goals in him and is a good outlet with the way he works hard off the ball. FF, Fer, Siggy, Llorente and Kingsley will be worried for their spots on Saturday, Fabianski will come back for Nordvelt. Ki can just F off. [Post edited 21 Sep 2016 20:39]

*LEAGUE CUP* The Official Swansea City v Man City EFL Cup Thread on 20:39 - Sep 21 with 1728 views | skippyjack | Britton is only playing well because he has a right back as a winger and two defensive midfielders by the side of him... Taylor can't cross.. so is taking the corners.. which are equally sh*te. Hopefully we get knocked out..

*LEAGUE CUP* The Official Swansea City v Man City EFL Cup Thread on 20:39 - Sep 21 with 1701 views | Griffting | Well, that wasn't a disaster. Far from it actually. Leon is getting the crowd going and making us tick over as he always does. I like what VDH is trying with the passing, he seems abit lethargic on the ball though. Defense looks so much more organised. Even saw a positive pass and run from Taylor!! Get him off corners though. Borja looks lively. We need some attack to compliment this defense though. No fault of corks but he's just popped up with the ball in attacking positions where he isn't able to find the last ball. Why not go for it, definitely don't want 120 minutes n pens so try and win it. If we don't, then at least we had a go.
*LEAGUE CUP* The Official Swansea City v Man City EFL Cup Thread on 20:40 - Sep 21 with 1692 views | monmouth | They're trying to do the right things at last, even when it's not working, and you can see them growing into the game. After 15 mins of back-back-hoof, they started to pass it on the floor again. A Baston goal would do everyone a world of good. There may be some green shoots here to build on. Not to say I'm not still pining for when players knew how to make space as second nature to receive a pass, but given the circumstances I'll happily grab that so far with both paws.

he playing winger? I'd say he's playing right midfield in a more right wing back role. When they have the ball we have 5 across the middle with not much space between midfield and defence. I'd say FG has done his homework on stopping the Guardiola passing game.

TBF FF had a good game against Soton. Didn't put a foot wrong defensively. If he'd sliced that clearance like Amat did for their goal there would have been half a dozen threads on here about it.
