Ipswich match fred on 14:35 - Feb 6 with 2688 views | Aitch | Quite pleased with that line up. Couple of potential game changers on the bench. Bit lightweight in centre midfield maybe? I'm hoping Polter & Washington can be our Ferdinand & Penrice. Feeling quietly optimistic about a good result today.

If we can't score a couple of goals with that line up then I'll be very disappointed.

Ipswich match fred on 14:31 - Feb 6 by rsonist | I'm glad we're being bold (rather than play Henry) but I'm not too confident that midfield's strong enough to support two up front. Still, worth a go. Disappointed not to be seeing Robinson at least on the bench yet. Hoilett should not really be playing IMO. |
With you on that one it's great to see two strikers BUT as Clive has said a number of times and I agree with him our midfield doesn't look strong enough to play 4-4-2. That said its worth a try at home in a game we could win, hopefully JFH has done his homework, I think the 4-4-2 has a chance against Ipswich but would fail against teams like Wolves who have a very big muscular outfit.

Might succeed against Ipswich as they have the worst passing success rate at 62.5%. But that axis of Mass and Ale... not confident at all. Think Conor and Polter will have to play too far back to protect them. Just changed my prediction to a loss. 1-2

I don't really agree with this view that our midfield won't be strong enough to play 4-4-2, they've been playing 4-2-3-1 with the anonymous Fer in front of them for most of the season, they won't notice the difference!!

Fingers crossed you are right, it will depend how well they have been prepared by JFH and you are right Fer has been totally shite for the majority of games he's played. Not feeling well today so my seats empty which is a real bummer, I actually think we have a chance to win this game I went to the Ipswich away game and didn't see anything to make me think otherwise.

Baggies losing 1-0 (Sandro started) Oh, just seen Getme's post. Oh well - Hoillet has had three on target and one just now, just wide! [Post edited 6 Feb 2016 15:40]

Yes, a starter today. You think they'd husband his uninjured time more sparingly.

Apparently they have to sign him on a perm if he plays x amount of games. Fingers crossed.
