Haven't done one of these in a while.

Here's my prediction which Clive didn't put in the preview for some reason (the reason almost certainly because this year my predictions have been absolute cack).

"Ipswich are solid play-off contenders and after beating us at theirs should give us a good game here. Their away form through November and December was great but after a solid draw at Burnley they've been beaten away in the Cup by Pompey and the League by Brum. I should tip the draw but my heart is getting behind Jimmy and our slightly younger, fresher squad. Here's hoping the boys have made the most of their Annual 4th Round Break."

Jim's Prediction: QPR 2-1 Ipswich Scorer: Seb Polter

(Edit: Apologies to Clive, I'd sent my pm to the wrong address. )

Quite pleased with that line up. Couple of potential game changers on the bench. Bit lightweight in centre midfield maybe?

I'm hoping Polter & Washington can be our Ferdinand & Penrice. Feeling quietly optimistic about a good result today.

If we can't score a couple of goals with that line up then I'll be very disappointed.

3-1 Rangers with Washington getting his first goal methinks.

I'm glad we're being bold (rather than play Henry) but I'm not too confident that midfield's strong enough to support two up front. Still, worth a go.

Disappointed not to be seeing Robinson at least on the bench yet.

Hoilett should not really be playing IMO.

With you on that one it's great to see two strikers BUT as Clive has said a number of times and I agree with him our midfield doesn't look strong enough to play 4-4-2.

That said its worth a try at home in a game we could win, hopefully JFH has done his homework, I think the 4-4-2 has a chance against Ipswich but would fail against teams like Wolves who have a very big muscular outfit.

Might succeed against Ipswich as they have the worst passing success rate at 62.5%. But that axis of Mass and Ale... not confident at all. Think Conor and Polter will have to play too far back to protect them.

Just changed my prediction to a loss. 1-2

I don't really agree with this view that our midfield won't be strong enough to play 4-4-2, they've been playing 4-2-3-1 with the anonymous Fer in front of them for most of the season, they won't notice the difference!!

Fingers crossed you are right, it will depend how well they have been prepared by JFH and you are right Fer has been totally shite for the majority of games he's played.

Not feeling well today so my seats empty which is a real bummer, I actually think we have a chance to win this game I went to the Ipswich away game and didn't see anything to make me think otherwise.

Yes, a starter today. You think they'd husband his uninjured time more sparingly.

We need to start taking these chances.

We can't shy away from their vulnerability, this is the time to get hard and stay hard.

Jimmy's oiling himself up for the halftime exhortations.

Know what you mean. We lack penetration when coming from behind.

By the sounds of it we are learning that Phillips and Hoilett are best deployed as proper wingers
