Ray Mears special on ITV just started, about the River Wye. |
Watched it, very good it was to, love that River the Severn is a great River, but the Wye is magical, the fishing can be suberp as well. |  |

Doesn't seem to be a restriction on netters though, just the recreation angler, most of mine go back anyway, but I normally take 1 or 2 between 3 and 5lb, lovely eating fish, if I do manage to get out and catch a few I'll still be doing the same, apparently you're now not allowed to fish for them between now and July 1st, rightio, that's totally unworkable just how are they gonna police that.? | |

If im completelyhonest I put all schools back, I wont keep under 2.5lb, and if I did keep a fish its normally only one I keep as thats enough for me :) | | | |

Good day out in The Newport Deeps yesterday, cod to about 10lb, loads of thornbacks, conger, and whiting. Thankfully forecast was well out. Pretty calm.

Good day out in The Newport Deeps yesterday, cod to about 10lb, loads of thornbacks, conger, and whiting. Thankfully forecast was well out. Pretty calm.

Used to catch em out in the midchannel off Oxwich and a bit closer yrs ago, Blues, but mostly Porgies, my biggest was 122lb, notsure they venture up the channel these days, maybe with an abundance of mackerel about you may have a chance, but I doubt anyone tries.
I have thought about a trip out with Lady Jue or Whitewater, but I'm not the best sailor so if it kicks up rough, I'll spend the day suffering instead of enjoying | |

Would love to go out on the boat, but im seriously bad on water, I was sea sick on a pedlo last year!!
I used to go out from the Monkstone boating club whenever the weather/tide would let us!
I would say everyother week for a good 5 years and then gave it up due to being sick on every trip :( | | | |
