Why not just ask them their views about rapists? I accept the gullible Daily Mail readers would be of the opinion that the asylum seekers are worse. Rape is rape regardless of nationality. Most of the racially charged outbursts I hear in work are from Labour voters, I'm not sure Farage's electoral forays are much of a barometer on anything. [Post edited 16 Apr 2016 18:48]

As I recall the Adam Johnson thread hinged on whether or not the contributors on here thought a 15 year old sexually mature (regardless of what man-made law had to say.)

the victim if my brothers girlfriend. She was on her way to work when this attack happened. The details of which are so vile and violent I feel a surge of anger as I write this, but I won't go into detail. He'll go away for a very long time, the sheer afront to apply for bail (a fact I wasn't aware of) is truly astonishing. The evidence, both physical and independent is overwhelming.
My take on whether he should be here or not, he entered illegally, why should he be allowed to stay? If he hadn't been this wouldn't have happened. Its really as simple as that.

I've been in the Police for 12 years. I've been on firearm and support units that a key part of their roles is to arrest high risk violent offenders. Most never really stand out but one particular day we were tasked with arresting a 15 year old boy who had abducted a 22 girl he had met via facebook. The girl was white and middle class, the boy was somali and had been in England for about 5 years.
They had met once and she realised that he had been lying about her age so she told him she wasn't interested. He didn't take this to well and returned with a group of friends to the pub that he knew she was going the next night. They then abducted her and took her back to his home address in Fulham, where she was gang raped for over 12 hours. The boys "uncle" then arranged for her to go to Greenwich where some of his friends took turns on her. She managed to escape after a 30 plus hour ordeal and call the police.
The thing that stuck with me during all this is that when you enter these addresses you declare that you have firearms and for all occupants to come towards you with their hands up, they are then ferried out, handcuffed and secured. I got hold of the mum. Without saying anything to her she said "he's 15 years old what do you expect me to do? He's a man I can't stop him". I felt sick. Sick that a woman knew what had happened under her own roof. It gave the whole episode a completely different slant to me.
I'm not making this about race, my sister is married to a pakistani and he's a lovely bloke. But all those convicted of rape had either entered the country illegally or their parents had. Why do we stand for it? Legal immigration, no problem. But pandering to those who enter the country illegally then setting the precident of allowing them to stay which in turn encourages more is truly scandalous. | | | |

You've really missed the point. Rape is sexual violence committed by (a minority of) men, most usually - although not exclusively - against women.
If you are really concerned about women in Swansea, you'd (1) recognise that rapists are of all cultures, race and ethnicity, and (2) you'd support one of the many action groups against rape - here's one suggestion.
