Well done Sarfend - should a P/O be decided by pens 20:32 - May 23 with 5332 viewsthebigone

So harsh on Wycombe - not sure I agree that Play Offs after 49 league games should be settled by pens (unless it results in a Swindon win!!)

Poll: After the articles - Who do you blame?

Everyone knows the rules and there has to be a winner .. looks like sunbed Phil is coming back to Bloomfield Road. BTW - great for a neutral .. especially as I only put it on just before the Southend equaliser!!

We've been on both ends of it. It did seem a terrible way to end a season when Dave Bamber missed his penalty. That was because the Play Offs were new back then and we had been the form team of the division for the second half of that season.

However, you could look at it this way. They had 46 games to go up automatically and didn't. Then they had another 90 minutes today and still couldn't win, then extra time and still weren't good enough to beat the opposition. Then they were worse on pens.

Very good point BHOK - everyone knows the rules and at some point the game has to end. Pens have always been controversial but no one seems to have come up with a better way to end a game.

Poll: Graham Westley or Neil McDonald
