Players in & out in January 09:53 - Dec 4 with 9747 views | paulparker | Ok lets face it wherever we like it or not we are going to be active in the January Window I think we are going to need a striker/Winger , someone to replace Sandro and a fullback IMHO I would look at the following Podoloski - can play upfront and on the left, is a deadly finisher works for the team wants to stay in London a loan move would be good also Joel Campbell- he had a good world cup not had a sniff at Arsenal another who could play wide or upfront Nathan Redmond - would be a good signing & a lot better than going for an injury prone Townsend Tyrone Mings- doing well at Ipswich if we go down he could be a great signing for next year can play CB or Fullback 2 players I would like to see us go in for are Yann Kermorgant - excellent at holding the ball and scores goals , and matt Richie who can play wide or CM he also scores goals and is excellent at dead balls both from Bournemouth I would look to offload Rio & send Matt Phillips on loan if we get cover and can we just pay off SWP , (Bucket collection, anyone ??) anyone else
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Players in & out in January on 11:36 - Dec 4 with 1895 views | DeptfordR | Adel to palace, swp to dog and duck, Ferdinand to the glue factory. In - need a hold up player, left winger and right back unless we recall Harriman Fudge knows who though, don't know why but I like the idea of Wickham. Left winger redmond would be good but probably not possible.

I wouldnt mind Crouch actually , he does score a few and he would be here for more than the money IMO . Maybe we wouldnt need another centre back with Clint and Ehmer . I can see Matt Phillips going out on loan ..

I would actually take Crouch short term. We're better when Zamora plays but lack a presence without him. Crouch was the best player on the pitch when we played Stoke earlier this season.
Players in & out in January on 11:57 - Dec 4 with 1837 views | essextaxiboy | Charlie cant play the back to goal striker role IMO at least not at the moment . I fear for his shoulder when he is going up with the centre back all over him .

Players in & out in January on 11:03 - Dec 4 by adhoc_qpr | Can we recall Robinson to back up Yun at left back? Then we need a striker who is physical and can hold up the ball and a box-to-box midfielder who can pass to his team mates and stay fit for more than 50 minutes at a time. I wouldn't bother with anymore given the looming FFP fines and likelihood of relegation. I guess a decent winger at a push, since Phillips and Hoillet seem beyond Harry's abilities to coach into form. |
If we need a back up at left back let's bring Taiwo back - excellent entertainment value, and he can shoot.

Taarabt, Ferdinand, SWP, Hill & Dunne all out of contract in the summer so can be taken out of the 25 and left to rot for 6 months. Ehmer can clearly come out of the 25, so we would need to sell 1 maximum.
Players in & out in January on 12:27 - Dec 4 with 1734 views | Jeff | For the Money that we're spending on the pair of The Boy Defoe and the Boy Crouchie we could probably sign the Boy Connor Wickham, who is everything we should be looking for in a striker: Tall, Strong, Mobile, Young and Experienced (relatively). if we're going to spend the thick end of £10m on strikers in January, with £100k a week in wages as well, why not get Wickham?

1 - Too young. 2 - Not very Tottenhamy. 3 - Not Crouch.

Because Wickham is not a prolific goal scorer and would rather be out p*sssing it up with his mates than practice being a striker not worth the money

Wickham also doesnt play upfront alone, he currently plays on the left of a forward 3. For the right price he would be a decent signing for us, good age, different type of striker and English. He's still quite raw but he has a lot of the attributes we miss when Zamora is broken. If we end up paying 6m for Defoe I will go down to Loftus Road and throw shit at the windows.

Even with 1 leg and no Hip BZ is a better player than Wickham, Wickham is one of those players who thinks he has made it without ever working on his game, he would rather have the trappings of the money, the haircuts, the birds and the stupid tattoos than concentrate on upping his game , he would be great in the championship but no way in a million years we should be paying 8-10 million and 70 k a week on him , I can think of at least 10 strikers in the lower leagues worth a gamble than Wickham

While taking your point, pedantically I don't think he'd cost 8-10m because his contract is about to expire I think.
Players in & out in January on 12:54 - Dec 4 with 1498 views | Bluce_Ree | Sell Austin for like 9m to Liverpool in January. He'll play 5-7 games this year, scoring zero goals. Appease the fans with Defoe who'll play 2 or 3 times before the pace of the Prem gets to him and he ends up being the new SWP anyway. We go down pitifully with a perfect away record. Relegated to the Conference for FFP breaches. Tony refuses to take the blame and does a massive flounce on Twitter. QPR is forced to fold as it turns out that SWP is on a contract for life and so costs more than our entire budget. QPR are reborn as AFC West London Rangers like we're from an football videogame with no official licenses and Karl Ready returns to manage us. Vinny Jones options the rights to make a movie about the whole thing. It is simply titled 'C*nts' and goes on to win awards at Cannes, making him a trillionaire and the most respected director in Hollywood.

i could be wrong but I think West Ham went in for him at the start of the season with a bid of 8 million which Sunderland turned down , it could well be Sunderland look to shift him in January and we know better than anyone else they may get that price come the last day of the transfer window when Defoe & Crouchy have turned us down, and we are running a round like chavs on black Friday looking for any old expensive tatt to buy

Players in & out in January on 14:28 - Dec 4 with 1370 views | rsonist | Defoe, Crouch, Scott Sinclair, triffic lads. There'd be no point signing Ings even if he were available because he already showed at Burnley that he can't play at his best with Charlie. Same reason we shouldn't be investing so much in Defoe. Thing is we have been linked and been making moves to get powerful and pacey forwards for a long time now. Zapata, Sigthorsson, Ntep, Erdinc. So there would seem to be some vague awareness of what's needed. I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to pull a Remy again and go back into the French market for Ntep, who is proving himself to be a very talented conceited nutjob this year, and Andre Ayew who seems to play all over the place without excelling anywhere - perfect tombola material. Asamoah Gyan on loan sounds like something Arry would fancy. Wickham is a waste and doesn't deserve any kind of big money move but OTOH there are so many wasted English talents and you kind of want to believe they can be rehabilitated. Also see Nick Powell, that nice lad Ravel. (I would still buy Ravel, God help me). Not really possible to do proper investment in and restructuring of defence and central midfield in January so Kalas on loan should be fine. He should be able to do a job across the backline, he might even be brilliant if his reputation is to be believed.
Players in & out in January on 14:43 - Dec 4 with 1352 views | runningman75 | Andros Townsend though think he will go to Southhampton as part of the deal for Spurs to bring Morgan Schneiderlin in. Hoillett, Philips and SWP not up to the Premier league. Centre forward also needed though would rather bring a loan player then Defoe.
Players in & out in January on 14:57 - Dec 4 with 1324 views | loftboy | Defoe will score loads of goals, but you know he would be injured for 50% of the time he was with us.
