Reaction to Gorkss' sending off 20:47 - Feb 16 with 7045 views | WadR | Apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but think it deserves its own thread. I was disappointed to see our fans reaction to Gorkss getting sent off, the booing and jeering of a player who was always good for us and seems like a nice guy. Last season, he didn't celebrate either time he scored against us last time either. It was a late challenge, but not particularly dangerous or malicious. Does purely getting sent off warrant such a reaction? From where I was sat, pretty close to the incident, it also looked like something was thrown at him from the crowd. Anyone else notice this?

Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 20:51 - Feb 16 with 5568 views | DieByYourSide | Thought it was a pretty awful challenge but also thought at the time that the reaction from the fans was over the top, he was a very good player for us and always seemed a nice chap. Probably just due to the situation in the match, if he'd have been sent off with us 3-0 up he'd have got a round of applause.

Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 20:55 - Feb 16 with 5531 views | BrianMcCarthy | Very disappointing to hear that some jeered. I personally thought he got the ball. Even in today's sanitised climate it was a yellow at most. Either way, a good lad, who doesn't deserve stick.

Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 20:58 - Feb 16 with 5504 views | Juzzie | I was close to it and I think our fans reaction was because he was trying to feign innocence for what was a pretty awful, mistimed tackle. I don't think it was malicious but had he put his hands up and accepted it straight away rather than trying to get out of it I think the fans reaction might have been different. Being 3-1 down too didn't help matters and probably added to the fans frustrations. Edit: I think it looked like a piece of chewing gum thrown at him [Post edited 16 Feb 2014 21:05]

Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 21:02 - Feb 16 with 5479 views | HantsR | Couldn't boo him and decided not to clap either, because I saw no reason to do so. I gave him a clap when teams were announced though.
Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 21:03 - Feb 16 with 5472 views | bosh67 | It was a pretty bad tackle and I don't think he would have too many complaints. A few people booed but to be honest the reaction was almost a non-reaction. You can't clap a player off for a badly mistimed tackle that could have ended a player's season. But, I could see Kaspers face and he looked pretty upset with himself as he went down the tunnel. He's a good guy. Most did and said nothing in the crowd. He knew he had let himself down. He's a good lad, no malice and he's still one of the good guys in QPR's history.

I hadn't really considered that aspect of it. He did try his best to linger on the pitch. I'm not claiming we ought to be clapping him off the pitch, I agree with Hants, he deserves a clap when his name is read out pre-match but it just felt, at least round me in S block, that people were slightly over the top with their reaction to it. Little relieved then that I may just have misread people's reactions.

Happened right in front of me. This is 100% right.
Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 01:01 - Feb 17 with 4846 views | SonofNorfolt | Having seen it since, it was never a straight red. When I realised it was Gorkss, I changed my tune and clapped him off. Apparently he was gutted to leave, and rightly so, replaced by a player who in all my spectating years, is the player most ill at ease with the ball at his feet, Gabbidon. How short our memories are?

Looking at it on the telly, I thought he got some of it, though I wasn't really straining the peepers, I have to admit. I was more concerned about what Redknapp would do to counter it,

More concerned than Redknapp judging by his lack of movement on the bench!

Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 10:50 - Feb 17 with 4482 views | dodge_stoke_r | F##k Gorkss and f**k any other ex player that tips up Loftus Road. I cant believe fans that clap and cheer ex players. I suport Queens Park Rangers and the players in QPR shirts. When a player moves on he no longer gets my support. I'll bet the same people that clapped Gorkss where the same players that bood Zamora. Shit as he is, he is OUR player.
Reaction to Gorkss' sending off on 11:32 - Feb 17 with 4416 views | Juzzie | I neither clapped nor boo'd Gorkks when he was sent off. I was glad it gave us a potential avenue back into the game....... doh!
