Coming out of the ground today. 19:44 - Feb 16 with 4557 viewsted_hendrix

As a rule when I leave the ground I talk to other fans or listen to what they say as in general you get some pretty decent views of how different fans have seen us play.
A bloke said to me as we shuffled miserably up LR something along the lines.
"Look mate, we haven't played well for a long time as we didn't again today, Its not that we've been found out or anything Its just the way it is, in fact we're pretty lucky to still be in third place"
Thing is as I drove down the M4 thinking about what he said I reckon he's just about got it right.
As Leicester and Burnley slowly disappear over the horizon and the clubs below us slowly catch us up what do others think?

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Austin is actually replaceable and Doyle is capable of filling in if the team was as it was. Arguably Simpson is a bigger miss and even Phillips despite he not being an automatic start - I thought he was gradually improving and looking to be a real threat for the remainder of the season.

Numerous loans is a recipe for failure, though. It's inevitable that as a whole they're not invested as much as contracted players.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Two games running now where well organised teams have been very physical aginst us and our loans players, like BAE, Niko, Yossi especially have not fancied mixing it. They are skill players used a different type of football, that is reffed in a different way. Some of the stuff that Derby and especially Martin did and yesterday Pearce, the Russian and the bloke with the yellow barnet in midfield would be carded in the Prem. When the ref doesn't give a foul, our Prem players get rattled and we literally stop playing and lose our discipline. I said after Derby that I hoped this wasn't going to be how other teams approached playing us but I strongly think it is. I am not a great admirer of Henry but be need some grit in the team along with the skill, we also need to play the simple ball rather than keep going for the spectacular passes. Reading out muscled us and then when they had the ball, used simple fast football to cause us all sorts of problems.

RIP: Sniffer, Doug and Pat

i think the best form of defence is to attack, then these teams wont be able to mount an attack, you swa how reasing chopped up our ageing defence at ease ,i fear we wont even make the play offs unless we change our tactics,we all respect harry boy but hes now been well and trully sussed out,for us to rebuild our chance we need to attack more

Poll: in last fifty years what was greatest ever atmosphere

Mate,
The players you mentioned above are all 'seasoned pro's' all of them have played at a higher level and under excellent Managers and in my opinion are/should be "streetwise" to every trick going on the football pitch, they should be using their own nous to our benefit not the opposing teams, if they cant hack it or as you say lose their discipline then they are no good to us, those players were brought into QPR for their respective experience.
I said before the game yesterday to 3-4 different blokes that it wouldn't kill me if we didn't go up this season, what I desperately didn't want to happen and I said so at the time was whatever happens today I hope to fck we don't lose to these bastards and looked what happened, Jesus wept on our own patch too.
I hate that football club with a passion bordering on lunacy.
