We’ll Take Eleventh — Podcast Tuesday, 7th Aug 2012 20:54 by LFW
The Open All R’s Podcast made a triumphant pre-season return on Monday night with host David Fraser, Talksport’s Chris Mendes and LoftforWords’ Clive Whittingham in the studio.
After tributes were paid to former captain Alan McDonald, topics up for discussion included Joey Barton’s secondment to Fleetwood, the clutch of signings made so far this summer by Mark Hughes, and some wildly optimistic predictions for the season ahead.

I suggest that David Fraser gets a small amount of basic knowledge about both football generally and QPR before he hosts a pod cast. How is he chairing that show?

Bit harsh Westbourne. Pretty good fall guy/chairman I reckon. Really enjoyed it last season

Ok so I sound like a nobber (again) but he didnt know the name for League Two he had no idea how old Diakite is, he thought there would be little difference in fitness between premier league players and L2 players... And that's just for starters. I want to be informed and intrigued by my host not listen to him be taught the most basic facts about football. Reminds of the no nothings who i sit near in block R. Clive comments on Jay Bothroyd we're interesting - that's what I'd tune into a podcast to hear.

Try listening to all the other podcasts last season before making your judgement. Couple basic errors in this but general insight and analysis is good. Last season the podcast was fantastic, looking forward to it this year!

It was enjoyable to listen to, an informal 'chat' style. To anyone who moans about it in any way, just remember:-its just a podcast, its free to the user and if you dont like it for whatever reason, then dont download it again. Simple.

I enjoyed it. There were some interesting insights fan one liners from Clive and the guy from Talksport. Mostly from Clive, though. I was listening on a plane and was laughing out loud at parts. Looking forward to the next one.

To be fair, there was a moment of horrified looking at each other over Diakite's age - none of us knew it off hand.

Decent listen, I enjoyed it, although it is quite fair to say the host doesn't really know what he's talking about.

the podcasts are a must listen to for me. I think David Fraser is perfect for the job, yes his knowledge is not 100% (how can you forget we signed Ji Sun Park!) but for me he's not a Rangers nurd just your average fan who can hold the podcast together and mange to get a word in when Finneys rambling I think it should be longer though as i can never get enough rangers chat

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? MK Dons Polls |
