| Forum Thread | Yesterday Mr Sunak brought our club into disrepute by his association with us. at 09:47 7 Jun 2024
Mr Sunak left yesterday’s 80 year D Day commemorations in Normandy early to make a party political broadcast which is not to be shown until next Wednesday. This morning Mr Sunak has had to publicly apologise for his lack of judgment and insensitivity in not staying to fully honour the few remaining D Day veterans and their families. Veterans, whose bravery and courage literally helped secure for us the freedoms so many nowadays take for granted. In the light of his actions yesterday, I personally would be delighted if in the future Mr Sunak wishes to attend at St Mary’s the club inform him that he is not welcome. |

I can’t help but imagine that it was probably “ bugger” in the fashion of Captain Darling writing in his diary on the way to the front for the big push in the last episode of Blackadder. Seriously had he stayed, this morning he could have still been captain of S F C and have cemented his reputation in the history of the club in the fashion of Matt. Instead, this mornings he is undoubtedly richer monetarily, still no nearer an England place and I will venture to suggest perhaps a little sad. |
| Forum Thread | When are some of these cover up merchants going to be brought to justice ? at 21:49 20 May 2024
A few weeks back it was people in authority being found out ruining Post Office managers lives by covering up known failings in their own computer system. Today it’s people in authority being found out covering up known failings in the N H S in respect of administering contaminated blood. Is it not beyond the realms of possibility that the police investigate these people, gather evidence and refer them for prosecution or has their appalling behaviour become acceptable nowadays ? |
