Barnsley were a top team then and we beat them with 10 men as well as our keeper letting one in between his legs , it was a 5 goal thriller in an fa cup forth round game which im pretty sure the week before we drew 4-4 with port vale , and none of that you rated !!! Yet you go all giddy about this team every week , |

I was there in SA that day and also dead level with Trev , I remember thinking WTF was he doing when he shaped up , pure bedlam after , funny thing is a friend of mine missed it as he went for a slash he was gutted when he saw it on MOTD
The thing people forget is what a game it actually was , Barnsley were a good side then |

Great thread DD it’s bought up some loverly memories of being with my Dad and Grandad when they used to go to the British Legion in Greenford
Saturday nights my grandad would do his best Tony Bennett impression and sing about 4 or 5 numbers whilst some old dear played the old Joanna in the background
Being a lad I would wait for a few of the old boys to comeback from Rangers so I could steal a look at their programme whilst everyone in the family got legless
Sundays would be drinking until 2pm, then it was fags put out, pints supped so everyone could stand for the national anthem , halcyon days indeed
Living in Northampton we do have quite a few working man’s clubs still going the one near me closed though after covid, massive gaff it was, such a shame as it’s still vacant |

If he has 10-15 games to save his career then it should be somewhere else other than QPR he can’t even do the basics right

I’m fed up of the mentality of our cukkold fans accepting a 6-2 defeat off a club who quite frankly can hardly buy a win and who were there for the taking
Plymouth, Tamworth , Bromley have shown us up yet again in how to play cup ties
We are an embarrassment with our cup record and Marti has to take the blame for yesterday that team he sent out was minging especially Masson and Ashby
Last year we won at Leicester with a worse team this year we supposed to be happy because the gap is so, so big between us and them |
