Well, it also depends on what the player wants to do and what's in their contract. Who knows what fee is in there to trigger a move? None of us. Maybe someone like Dave Mac may have some knowledge of this. Think we have always really been a selling club, well since ive been supporting the Rs anyway. |
| Forum Reply | Holloway: It's not about formations at 10:24 4 Mar 2018
Back to the original point, it is a bit about formations, but not only that. I think Holloway is playing the system he does as he thinks it gets the best out of who he sees as his best players, the midfield three. They won't always play well though, no one plays well all the time. It's clear Pav and Bidwell are no wing backs. It's a difficult position to play, even more so in a team that's not solid defensively, but they try. Our strikers aren't very good. If they were they wouldn't be here. Again, I don't know if Connor will make it at this level but I really hope he does because he works bloody hard and we need him to. The route of this is constant change, managers, playing styles and players coming and going. I don't like it but I have resigned myself to a few years of how we are now. The club is in a mess and this will take ages to sort out, but they've made a start. For me, what happens with players leaving or joining in the summer is crucial because I think we do have some foundations of a decent team. If we can keep our better players and find others like Freeman and Scowen we might be on to something. |

I thought Derby were ok but we were really poor so made them look good. It was just one of those games where our tactics didn't work at all and too many of our players had a poor game. Ollie and BIrch should have changed the shape as apart from the first ten mins we offered no threat at all and were getting pulled out of shape all the time. Add that to the fact we kept giving the ball away you get the mess we had last night. Even after all that we nearly scraped a draw. I think we are building a good side so really looking forward to next seasons....he says hopefully....it's the hope that kills you! |

Having coached for a good few years (at a very low level it must be said) I'm always amazed how coaches watch a half like that and do nothing at all to help their team. Our team set up simply hasn't worked from kick off so what does anyone do, nothing. Fulham get out far too easy from their back three then we are over run in midfield by their five. Parker has at least 7 or 8 yards every time he gets on the ball. With that space even an average player would look good. Our only out ball is a punt to Polter who is up against 6ft 7 Dan Byrne! Making an very average side look very good. |
| Forum Reply | Any Record Collectors on here? at 19:26 19 Jan 2016
Marc, I buy and sell loads of vinyl but really only 60s soul, R&B and Northern Soul. Some good advice already given on here. I have sold hundreds of records on ebay with no problems at all (apart from the postie smashing a couple up en route). As Disco said you can spend ages packing/posting them off though! Car boot sales are good if you know your stuff and what its worth. Discogs is a good shout as they give low/high/avearge sale prices so he would get an idea of the value. Dealers offers tend to be a bit low as they are looking to make a profit on sell ons., so it depends on what your relative is after. If they just want to sell at a reasonable price then i would spend some time valuing the collection and then haggle with a dealer. As long as there is some value in it for them they should be ok. If they want top dollar for the vinyl then you really have to sell them individually or in small batches yourself. When I first used ebay I put on two or three first just to see how it all went. They could try that if they are worried. Just remember all the fee stuff though to ebay and paypal. Good luck mate. |

Been brilliant for us. A player so good and determined to improve that not even the QPR circus could destroy him. Hope he gets a great move and becomes an England regular. Most of the rest can feck off...... |

Simple really..if you cannot defend properly and you simply don't take your chances you will go down. We had a better go today but you simply cannot miss the chances we did and expect to get anything out of this game. The first goal is so important in football...we conceed first in most games gives us very little chance. We are good as down now....look at the run in... |
| Forum Reply | Match Day Thread at 16:53 22 Mar 2015
A lot of our players are playing well though and showing some heart and fight. If Charlie had those chances we could easily be winning this game. Bobby is well past it as a finisher at this level. Also Hoilet has done zero. Should be subbed at half time. Hope we give it a real go in the second half as we can win this Everton are nothing special. One great finish from a right back apart for that most chances have been ours. |

We will go down. Another shocking defensive display. Poor tactically as well. Phillips does nothing on the left and his defensive work against Zaha has been poor and I'm guessing that's why he got played there. Best to go down and rebuild the side because if a miracle were to happen and we stayed up then this would all happen again next season. We are a side with no heart or any desire for the fight. Darnell, who I like by the way, is way out of his depth in this game. 22 times we have conceeded first in games... Terrible |

Terrible ref performance. How Huddlestone and Livermore haven't been booked god knows. Plus Burnley equalised! |

Clueless. Being saying this to my lads for months. From the start it's been a joke. Buy and sell players to play one formation then abandon it almost immediately. That leaves you with a poorly balanced squad to play 442 so (decent?) players get played out of position. Couple that with what appears to be zero in the way of tactics or style of play then you have the circus which is QPR most weeks. I can't see how we will stay up with this shower but I hope we do because I fear to think what will happen with FFP/fines if we go down. |
| Forum Reply | Match Fred - Stoke v QPR at 16:02 31 Jan 2015
It's what you get with no game plan or style of play. What does HR tell the players "go out and run about a little bit and see what happens". The first few minutes summed it up. Stoke really struggled against set plays this season and conceded a lot of goals from them. Our first free kick in their half...Fer takes a quick, short free kick promptly giving the ball away. Woeful. |
| Forum Reply | Leroy Fer at 17:34 17 Jan 2015
Well, we were warned by Norwich fans. They said he often went missing in games and was lazy. They were spot on. Given up counting how many times he gives the ball away and then just watches players run away from him as he jogs back. We reportedly spent £8m on him.... |
| Forum Reply | If you were to drop one player who would you choose. at 15:11 12 Jan 2015
Close between Fer and Joey, but would be Joey for me. His passing is awful, constantly gives the ball away and his corners and free kicks are usually crap. He is far too slow so never picks up any 'second balls' as he is not mobile enough. Plus with Joey he has to carry the weight of his enormous ago around for 90 mins so that must take a toll on him. Fer annoys the hell out of me as I think there is a good player in there, he just doesn't seem bothered most of the time. He is one of the laziest midfielders you will see in the prem. But, he has scored goals so Joey gets the bullet from me. |

Went to my first nighter in 1982. Me and my mates were all mods but went went to northern soul clubs and niters as well. Stopped going to mod clubs in my mid twenties as felt a bit old to be there! From there just kept going to northern soul clubs and nighters as all ages in there...great, friendly crowd. Mixed views about the film among our crowd but I thought it was pretty good myself..felt it captured the scene as well as a film like that could. I know I'm biased but the northern soul scene is 'fentastic' to quote Harry...everyone should try to experience at least one nighter....my elder brother and his mates are big into the 50s rockin scene and I dragged some of them along to a niter and they loved it...! Job done...mind you I've got to go to one of their do's now.... |
| Forum Reply | Are we actually worse than last time we came up? at 18:57 5 Oct 2014
Yes........because we are just as poor with better players...that takes some doing. The coaching looks non existent to me. I wonder if the players are as fed up with it all as they look? Each week I think we can't be as bad as last time......then we're worse! |
| Forum Reply | going forward at 18:49 5 Oct 2014
He looks bored by the whole thing...along with some of the players he looks like he thinks QPR is a step down for him.... Never once in the technical area when we were that pish poor....bout sums it up for me...even Pleat who i usually can't stand called that right... Pulis in for me....I don't think he'd have any problems keeping us up at all..... Please Tony don't leave it too long or we will be too far adrift to save us.... |
