It has been a reasonable start......I have only been disappointed with the Millwall performance.
Top half is well achievable with the squad that we have got. Key is seeing if the new foreign players improve because they, apart from Nardi & Frey, are not as exciting as I would expect, in fact playing very average indeed. |

First question should be......'.why isn't MC in attendance'. Then 'why isn't there anyone from the coach team present'. |

It was a poor conceded goal all round, a few players did not cover themselves in glory. Where was our wide right midfielder?? No issues with Paal and the goal. Millwall had far too much time and space. [Post edited 23 Sep 8:36]

Maybe we are a new team but they are professional footballers. Yesterday they were not very good at all apart from one or two of them. Poor excuse to use 'new team' as a reason why they were generally poor and there is no reason why supporters cannot make their thoughts known..
I have been very pleased with the season thus far, some good performances both player wise and the team. Yesterday they were not very good and it wasn't because they are a' new team'. |

Most of the attacking players final balls/passes are 'not the best'.....not just Smyth. |

If Clark Salter is fit then he will start, so will Colback (if fit). Dunne will revert back to RB if JCS is selected. Best Chair can think about is sub. I hope that Dembele starts in CM. Easy choices for MC imho.
The difficulties are in midfield, who do you play? - Varane, Madsen, Anderson, Saito or Smyth. We lack pace without having Saito or Smyth in the starting 11 but it just depends how MC plays the game tactically. |

Very difficult for the Manager whom to select.....he needs to ready fringe players and see if they are good enough. The League Cup is where we tend to do it. Also, he needs to keep players fit and ready for the next game which is far more important that the Cup.
The issue for me is how we played in the first half, we gave them too much time and space, we did not get tackles on their players and let them know what we are about. Play like we did in the second half and we would not be complaining. Saying that, Palace were streets ahead of us and in second gear for most of the game......but FFS let them Teams know they have been in a game. |

Not the player many thought, doubt if he will make it with us........he was pretty poor on Tuesday and suggest he was blamed for the Palace first goal on Tuesday, hence why he was replaced at HT. |

If all this stuff about his Father and posting on social media is true then I suggest to kick him out of the Club asap....he is poison. We don't need it here.
And by the way, he isn't that good and has proved absolutely nothing.

We were playing a Premiership Club whom put out near to their best players. They were 'miles' ahead of us in all aspects of the game and fair play to them. Also, remembering they are a bottom half team as well.
I enjoyed watching them knock the ball around and making so much space for themselves. It shows how much we need to get better and showed how limited our players were against Premier players.
No meltdown here. |

He is certainly finding life very hard in the Championship, isnt doing many basics right, one run last night, from a reasonable ball pass, he never attacked the ball he .......not so sure that he will be good enough despite seeing him only a few times.
Dykes was not good enough so no point in bringing LD into the equation. |

Paal is the least of our worries.....he isa good footballer and good enough for our first team and if he leaves, and I hope he doesn't, he will be looking for a better club not going downwards.
The important thing is that he is enjoying his time here and he will if we are playing well and pushing up the table and also the new contract meets his needs.
We need to review his contract asap by starting talks now and not let it rumble on. |

Fair play to the boys.......cant believe all the negativity. How many 'big saves' did our keeper have to make?? Not the best but another away game where we pick up points - Our 'old boys' did very well, Cook & Colback.
Some on here need to be more realistic, we worked very hard as a team. |

You can blame LF or whoever but the person who led the Academy, whom is no longer part of the Academy set-up, is the prime reason why we have not seen many players develop as we would want to happen. A lot of things have changed since she departed and there are a lot of things to do to get us 'up & running'.
As far as the poor results, whilst you do not want to see the teams beaten and beaten comfortably the key is improving players to get them ready for 1st Team activity. That will take time because of all of the changes and different mindset of the 'Top Team'. |

We are better off without all of them.......miss Armstrong a bit but we have replaced his pace with new signings.
