Err, try not to be so narrow, maybe? Sometimes people don't post very often. Get over it. As someone who's been watching Saints for 25 years and who has been to every game this season including Leeds (hence my refusal to get all gushing about Nigel) I feel quite comfortable expressing a view. Is that ok, sir? |

Sorry for Nigel but at the end of the day he's gained a huge amount from being our manager. His future is assured. Scunthorpe are fading fast with no investment. No regrets for Nigel. I looked on the Spanish and Argentinian media. Basically they're saying: he's still an untried manager but no one doubts that he's got talent. Whilst I think we ought to have a bit of trust in Cortese, there's no doubt that this is a risk. Answer: sing for Nigel before kick off, then draw a line and get behind the team and their new manager as soon as that first whistle blows. Cortese's trying to move us on from being plucky outsiders. Fine by me. Writing was on the wall. How do you think Cortese was feeling about the £12m star not starting big games and being completely out of sorts. Gaston was our least effective player at Villa. And that's saying something with Yoshida on the pitch. For info, everyone calls him Poche but that won't fit our songs.... [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Yup. I drive that route twice a week. Avoid A1. A34, M40, A43, M1, M18, M180, Humber Bridge without doubt best route but try to be clear of J26 of M1 by 5.00pm which would mean leaving Soton by 2.30pm. A43 is ok as it's dual carriageway. If you're up there already, Saints team probably having lunch at Forest Pines hotel. |
