In my defence, I've never listened to anything by Billy Joel unless it happened to be on the radio. Difference this go round is I'll be in travelling from Liverpool, which I presume means over to Preston(?) and then on from there. Anyone familiar with transport in that region got tips on travel?

I drive a lot, loads of very pleasant memories, but three stick in my head...
1/ Memorial Drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from just north of Harvard down to the Science Museum. Drive it 4/5 times a week, whatever the season, it's lovely to look out over the river and downtown Boston. 2/California's route 1. No explanation required. 3/ Driving north from Dunoon in Scotland, heading up to Fort William, what a wonderful part of the country.
...watching 'Our Leaders' post match interview and I was struck by the grounds crew running lawn mowers over the surface of a just played on pitch. What's that all about, shouldn't it be rollers first, leave the grass for a day or two then?
