All worked out in the end for England, although it was a bit squeaky bum time in the Aus v Scotland game. Windies, SA and USA probably the better side of the super 8s too.
Shame one of the games in 1.30am our time.

Extremely comprehensive from England - thought Oman might put up a bit more of a fight but assumed they would struggle with express pace. Namibia are better but we should still win. Really wouldn't be surprised if Scotland beat Aus in a close game so it doesn't look too obvious. Aus will rotate a few, as anyone would in essentially a dead rubber.

Tottenham friendly tickets now on sale
at 15:02 11 Jun 2024

Yeah I thought it was a lot and it's also before Spurs go on their pre season tour so can't imagine we will see too many of their starting 11.
ST Holder so £18 and going with some spurs mates plus kids. Went for family stand rather than usual R Block. Taking my boy to his first game, who's only 4, thought a pre-season game would ease him in a bit better.

I've always said with Jordan he has 1 good game in 5. Can be amazing in the death overs but can serve up some buffet bowling otherwise.
I do think we would have chased it but agree that the coach didn't need to go on about it, suppose it's about getting confidence in the players.
Scotland did very well and could be a threat for qualification now. England need to win all 3 games to guarantee it. Thought the cut off time was ridiculous. They should have left it until natural light was due to go (as it was deemed a day game)

I've only been for County in the pavilion where it was bench seating, very stuffy and you had to wear a tie and jacket when you were inside. Haven't been for the T20 there, assuming they drop some of the requirements but don't hold me to that. Food was good, beer was the same as elsewhere, views are the best.
Going in the mound stand for Middx v Surrey later in June.

T20 World Cup is underway, haven't watched any yet but will for England v Scotland tomorrow.
Anyone been to the domestic T20? Went to Surrey v Somerset yesterday, lovely day and a good lower scoring game. Always think the 160 odd games where there's something in it for the bowlers is better to watch.

I actually don't think that the Surrey connection would mean Smith is more likely, as Stokes is very much in the selection process then Robinson is probably more likely.
Rew has been fantastic in recent seasons, think another year in CC and possibly a winter down under and he would be the #1. Just needs a touch more experience.

As a Surrey fan and member, I was pretty concerned at 15-4 on the morning of day 1 after being put in a green top. But the depth of the team is ridiculous for the CC. Can see Jamie Smith getting an England call soon. Surrey should win the CC but struggle in the other formats with the T20 WC during the domestic T20 season. Big test going to Hampshire next week.

It's awful, just had a blank image for the captcha, eventually got in to join another queue where the bar doesn't move. Absolute Shitshow. Appears everyone is having the same issue.

I had a tenner on us to go down at the start of the season.....cashed out for a small profit when Marti took over. I thought the squad had too much to go down but was being completely mis-managed. Saying that I was certain we would go down when Huddersfield took the lead at LR and barely celebrated the equaliser, looks a big goal now.
Similar feeling when Birmingham took the lead at ours. Should probably just wait until the end of the match rather than having wild mood swings.

More a question on tickets in general. But. Is the lower school closed entirely? Looks like Leeds only got upper and it isn't available to our fans.

Loftus Road journey
at 11:05 19 Apr 2024

90s - Young but sat in various places in Ellerslie for a few games a season. Mainly R block.
Early 00s - Started going more, mainly in Ellerslie, used a friends spare ST in JU of the Loft 5-7 times a season too. One game at the front of SA Road when I was mascot, Luton FA Cup replay. Chris Kiwomya let me warm-up with the team.
04/05 - Got my first season ticket in R block, haven't moved since.

Plug in hybrids
at 10:27 15 Apr 2024

I've got an Audi A3 Plug in Hybrid. Honestly I rarely charge it, takes too long at home and no option at work. I tend to charge when I got to shopping centres etc. Costs around £4-5 for 38 miles of full EV. Tank costs £45-50 for approx. 440 miles.
It has various driving modes and charging options which use more/less petrol depending on the mode you choose. E.g. "increase battery" charges the electric battery from the petrol engine while driving/braking/cruising but uses significantly more fuel.
I tend to use efficiency mode which uses both engines and still will give a small amount of charge when braking/cruising.
Defo has some power when you get your foot down irrelevant of charge and is very efficient on the when maintaining the same speed on cruise control. Switches in and out of modes automatically in traffic (charge level dependent).
9/10 would buy again.

The 2024 relegation thread-oh: Match 44
at 10:19 15 Apr 2024

I had Birmingham going down but that 3-0 win on Saturday has really changed my mind. Now they have the Rotherham banker.
I still think it's the current bottom 3 (obviously Rotherham gone already).
Can see it being very close, probably the last game on the season but a win for us on Saturday would really help. Had the Preston (H) game as the one for a while, thought they were atrocious when we beat them away.
Knowing Rangers we will lose on Saturday, then beat Leeds 1-0 (we always beat Leeds 1-0 at home....)

Plymouth 0-1 QPR. We are a better team away from home. Someone, somewhere, somehow will nick us a goal. Begovic from a long lump forward, assisted by the wind.

I would actually give them both tiers to stop this a little. We've been selling out Saturday's but evenings hasn't been the same.
