Anyone know why Dele was subbed off at half time? we were toothless up front from the start of the second half and he was really missed, the ref had a mare, even from the first minute when he missed an elbow to the head from our first attack...Couldn't say about the sending off/penalty from the Sandy, some of the things he missed were baffling to say the least, we seemed to fall apart after the dismissal and never regained our composure, def 2 points dropped as we were coasting by the end of the first....Gutted, it feels like a loss instead of a point, 3 match ban for the sending off and couldn't have come at a worse time with the Gills and Bradford coming up....... |  |

'Denying a goalscoring opportunity' is a one-match ban only, I think, although it could be two.
I thought it was a foul and a penalty personally, but TV evidence may suggest otherwise, even though we could really do with numerous camera angles for a more definitive answer.
I'd be interested to see if Scott was offside in the build-up, as he was in acres of space when the ball ricocheted to him.
Again, TV might clear that up. | |

The length of the ban depends on what offence was committed.
EDIT: Just checked back ... when Stanton was sent off in similar circumstances at home to Aldershot in the promotion season, he just missed the next game. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
