Agreed. Think that's what Bell is referring to when he said JLAA "owed" the club - i.e. owed it to the club to inform them first before he signed for Tranmere. |  | | |

The first player thats left this year that I'm sad has done so. Have massive respect for JLAA, the way he grafted every time he played for us, even more so when those around him showed zero commitment to the cause. Probably converts the hardest chance he has all game rather than the easiest, and there's definitly plenty of players out there with a much better technique than he has, but nobody worked harder for the team than he did. In a side where he'll get plenty of chances he'll return a decent number of goals. Best of luck to him. | | | |

It's weird where you hear things!! I went to visit mr pdiddy yesterday who is being held at her majesty's pleasure and he told me about the tranmere signing off a tranmere fan. I went there with a head full of gossip and rumours to tell him and he knew more than me. He also said an ex tranmere player is supposed to be going spotland for a trial. Sounds like all them sex depraved roughians do nowt but discuss Rochdale.. |  |

He was definitely a fans' favourite, but I think that was more to him being a foreigner who looked like Predator rather than any amazing connection he had. He was a sparkle of light last year in a dismal season.
He's always running but his finishing is dire. Someone summed it up perfectly when they said he'll do an amazing piece of skill, then blaze it over the bar. That sums up JLAA more than anything we could say. If he was on Football Manager he'd be described as 'explosive'. Still, sorry to see him go. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
