Hes a lad who finds life difficult at times and should be cut some slack because of his demeanour. Having said that he doesnt help himself with his scandalous comments from time to time. That though is all part of the self destruct lifestyle that he leads, i suspect he doesnt choose to be that way though, if you know what i mean. At times the lad genuinely needs help and guidance. He is a proper Dale fan though and we should all keep our eye out for him especially at away grounds.

Yes I confess I have a soft streak, and I agree that Tazzy is one of the more vulnerable types who needs to be cut a bit of slack sometimes.

He does need this but continually refuses it which means that more people think of him in less favourable terms

Awards night on 12:10 - Apr 29 with 2444 views | YouTubeDale | It must be serious if Taz is banned from the Dale bar, and therefore the Awards night for the club he loves so dearly. I have to ask the question why is he banned or is this the wrong forum for that ? What I was really hoping to read on this thread was perhaps a little gossip, how many people turned up, did the manager turn up, which players didn't attend, who got the awards for what, did anybody get drunk, were the players abused, what was the band like...please will somebody paint a scene for me and other interested parties????? What a difference a year makes... Last year's do was yet another high. Tickets were a hot commodity. I remember talking to Dawson, wishing him well, and to the quietly spoken COG - how he was enjoying playing for Dale. I spoke to Wiseman who was glad he stayed at Dale and was looking forward to the new season. I spoke at length to Done and he assured me he was about to sign for Dale ( he did, but I'm not that naive as to think players tell you the truth). Gary Jones was all smiles with all his awards. JT was a gentleman, Joe W was enjoying everything and I could hardly understand JLAA. Hill and Flickers seemed to keep together not wanting fans to mingle with them, as if they were going to move to another club. And CD was in his own little bubble. However much I questioned him Hillcroft were going nowhere. He looked after them well and he just couldn't see it coming. I, like many fans, voted with my feet last night and didn't go. In a way I wanted the players to turn up to an empty room. I know that sounds sad. But I wanted them to know that going down so soon, after all those years trying to get up, really hurts. It's not that we don't care that we didn't go, it's because we do care.

quick summary: the place was packed - far busier than I think anyone expected. I think the players would have had the "empty room" experience with the lap of honour after the game. The PA was awful so 90% of people had no idea what was being said during the awards. In fact, it was easier to find out what awards were being won via twitter rather than actually being there. Players all suited and booted. It seemed all of them were there, but many kept themselves to themselves. That said, they seemed happy to deal with any requests from supporters. Coleman, Jones, JK in particular seemed to mix well with supporters. Fans seemingly all respectful to the players. As usual, people started leaving once the awards were done, but we didn't have the mass exodus of players that there's been in the past. I think the Coleman era is seeing the importance of responsibility to supporters stressed to the players much more than it was under Hilly. Awards night on 12:58 - Apr 29 with 2297 views | Brierls | On the subject of keeping an eye out for Tazzy, have any of his 'friends' seen or heard from him since he was turned away from the do? I'd expect him to be pouring his heart out on here , Facebook & Twitter, but I've not seen anything. It's slightly worrying tbf, and I'm hoping his friends have helped him out a bit here.

He was back in Spotland Social Club after this all happened last night so I've just been told, sounds like he'd perked up a little bit after a few pints.

Awards night on 13:17 - Apr 30 with 1634 views | dalefan164 | I've been a regular supporter of Rochdale for at least 15 years, yet have no idea who Taz is, and frankly I couldn't care less who he is but I think the attitude of some of you I'll assume grown men is slightly pathetic, when did Dale turn into the kids playground? Really isn't it about time we all grew up and actually looked out for one another?
Awards night on 15:30 - May 1 with 1373 views | hitman | To be fair to Chris Dunphy Gary Jones and JK, they all tried having a Word with the door lad to get him in, but the doorlad just said sorry, my hands are tied ive been told by the managment hes not allowed in. (Reason being... as he was slagging the Dale Bar off on a website or Social Netwok)
