Too early for anything interviews / build up etc from the club, but a bit of a favour... I'm driving down to Orient for the first time on Saturday, but when I looked on their site it makes it sound like parking is impossible.
Anyone been before with any tips on where is good to park please? Don't fancy getting a fine for parking in a residential area.

3-1 game over
Yep, more errors.
Newby plays an awful pass in midfield but we get it back. He then plays another awful pass allowing them to break. Lucky in that the cross was deflected in the air leaving Lynch in no mans land and their forward with a simple header
Our midfield was very good in the first half & have been terrible in this half. Orient deserving of the lead & should see this out

Some of our passing has been atrocious this season and we've beaten ourselves as often as we have been beaten. It's really disappointing. When you see the other teams that were relegated all with >60 points sitting in 3rd, 4th and 7th currently whilst we have 40 points and are 19th. I know we've had to sell players but .........
I know we can’t for the season to be over, worry is we could be as bad (or worse) need new players and a change in tactics or we will be joining scunthorpe

The match report for this game is unfortunately the same as many games this season. A nice first half, in which we've passed the ball around well and score a goal. On the negative side, with only 1 striker upfront, who is feeding off scraps, he never really gets an clear chance, whilst the rest of the midfielders waste many. Cue the second half, the opposition take their chances and work us out, either equalising or now winning. We continue to play with 1 striker and get no further chances to score. With 15 minutes to go we make substitutions, too little too late. I don't really want to blame the players because they played well in the first half, but I am putting all of the blame on a very poor managerial performance, that seems to be repeated match after match, with no lessons learnt.

Absolutely spot on this. We play the same formation week after week which doesn’t work, we are continuing to make the same mistakes we were making at the beginning of the season, we spend money in the transfer window (and make no mistake this isn’t a regular occurrence for us in recent years) and yet nothing improves. If it wasn’t for the off field problems I really think more pressure would be being placed on Stockdales head. I said a few weeks ago the jury still remained out on him and even now I’m not convinced he’s the man to put on a challenge to take us into L1 - Altho I do think there are just enough signs and we have just enough points already to think we’ll be safe Altho I don’t think safety will be confirmed until late into the season. Those who stand by Stockdale and think he definitely is the man to take us forward next season I simply ask - what exactly are you seeing that I’m not??

At least we didn't draw again!
This team won't score 3 goals very often to match a 3 goal tally from the other draw specialists in L2. We are close to the top of the league in corners won but only 2 goals from them. Playing Campbell up front with little support. Missing passes and chances at an alarming rate. I didnt expect a win today, but we shouldn't have been beaten by 2 goals either.
I like RS, but he has failed to learn from his mistakes and poor tactics, it is the same system week in, week out, win or draw or lose. I feel we have a new BBM, RS comes across as a decent person, is a good coach, but lacks the ability to change his tactics or manage effectively. again today, we dominated possession, but still lost, it is the same old tired tactics every week and the last few seasons come to that. No doubt we will have the same after match comments, but we need points not excuses.
I am inclined to give him to early next season, to show that he has the ability to achieve success, but a win rate of 25% is poor and with teams, would result in his dismissal.

I think he deserves a mulligan for this season (provided we stay up) simply after being appointed so late and many of the players were last minute signings and not necessarily ones he would've made given more time and options. Next season I won't be prepared to be quite so forgiving. And I really don't need to hear any more about how 'refreshingly honest' his interviews are please, I'm over that.
Do you think appointing somebody new this late in the season would be a good move? If so, who would you like to see given the job?

Not sure it’s a case of those who “stand by Stockdale” amongst some supporters, more pragmatism about where we are as a club and trying to have a realistic outlook on the future.
It really does need to be said though that results aren’t good enough, and the worry should be is that we’ve gone from being consistently inconsistent to consistently having a points return over spells of 5/10 games that equate to relegation form. Stockdale should be under no illusions that it currently isn’t good enough with what we have at our disposal.
Then we need to look at those mitigating factors, which most are rightly probably tired of hearing, and they clearly have had an effect, even if there’s an argument that they shouldn’t and we should be ten points better off than we are irrespective of off the field issues. Actually think if our season had mirrored August there would be a lot less to worry about, even though we only got four points and one win in the opening four games. The difference was we could see a side developing that was looking to get the ball forward and into the box in a direct, yet non-lumping it manner. Now nobody seems to be sure what we are and that interest created by directness has become apathy and annoyance. Strangely, that’ll be why some see something in Stockdale, willing him to see what he saw early on and identified as what fans would respond positively to.
But then, finally, it’s back to the overall situation and where Rochdale are right now and, no matter who the manager is, maybe our time has come where we might be in the lower reaches of L2 for a while. The board/manager/fans will rightly have loftier ambitions than that, but there has to be someone who bounces between 16th and 21st, rarely looking to break any higher. Can people cope with that if it becomes the reality we’ve seen this season? Perhaps something that needs considering, whether it’s with Stockdale or any other manager at the helm.

Question is, who could we afford especially after having to pay Stockdale compensation?

I think we all are. I know it's the fashion to be 'up for an interview' before and after every fixture, but the whole process can become incredibly tedious, and i daresay RS would be the first to admit that. Would it be worth just giving interviews a rest, for a while at least? I'd say yes, without question

I think we have little choice this season but to accept it's not going to get any better.
The summer will be an interesting one on and off the field. Hilly more often than not got the whole to be greater than the sum of its parts. Right now, RS is doing the opposite more often than not. Either that changes at some point before the end of 2022 or he will need to be changed, regrettably. He fits the club in so many ways but it's a results business and we can't carry on like this indefinitely.
